Farington Lodge Hotel

Had the deluxe afternoon tea with my wife. And really enjoyed the quality of the food. The service was excellent and we were made to feel welcome and looked after. The place looks lovely and was very quiet and tranquil a loveley setting for a couple wanting to enjoy a special day together.

Plenty of parking for our event, the staff where nice and attentive. We where served a buffet of hot and cold food & they did plenty, with most of the men present going for seconds while the ladies saved themselves for the deserts. Very easy to get to from the motorway.

Went in for lunch on a weekday, sat down, and ten minutes later no-one had brought us menus or taken a drinks order. Got receptions attention and it was another 5 minutes before someone came in, who promptly took the order of someone else who had just sat down. The place was in no way busy.

Room is okay; enough space, bed is allright. Could be tidier/cleaned better. Breakfast is okay, coffee is okay. Personnel is friendly and cares to help. 10 minute walk to city centre. Seems quiet, despite being close to a busy road and industry

I loved the place. Just a shame some staff members are rude. One argued with me over minor issue I had.
