Story

Situated in Mellor (in between Preston and Blackburn), the hotel is privately owned and run by the Walker family and opened in 2004 following a spectacular conversion of the ruins of a 17th century manor house, titled Stanley House. The Grade II listed building, demonstrating its heritage is now complemented with opulent modern additions and also benefits from unspoiled views of the Ribble Valley countryside. This refreshing fusion of the conventional and contemporary makes Stanley House the number one destination of choice.

Stayed overnight as part of a spa package. The spa experience was fantastic. I had a back massage which was excellent. The food in the grill on the hill was amazing. The room was spotless and really nice. All the Staff very nice. Not the first time I've stayed here and most certainly won't be the last

Stayed overnight last year after a wedding party and recently for the Christmas party. Excellent stay, the staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Outside could do with more lighting.

Amazing massage today as part of the wedding bells package. Absolutely incredible. I'm doo relaxed and revitalized. My skin feels like silk and my muscles feel warm and supple. I'd recommend this amazing place to everyone.

Been a few times for Sunday lunch in Griil on the Hill, truly great food and always excellent service. I particularly like the restaurant decor & airy room with lots of natural light. The mezzanine seating area is also relaxing for pre-drinks or post coffee. Quality.

I attended a wedding here. The staff were not very helpful, I asked if i can get a coffee and i was directed to the bar and the same lady at the bar told me sorry we dont do coffee at the bar. Very unprofessional.
