The hotel has clearly been recently refurbished top to bottom so everything is generally clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful and there are also loads of good places to eat within a couple of blocks. Hyde Park is across the road if you need some fresh air and green space and it even has a car park. My only issue is that the rooms are tiny in a typically London way

This was a a great hotel to stay at while visiting London. Your close to several bus stops and two underground stations. Which makes getting around the city very easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very good too and made up nicely everyday. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Comfortable rooms, though small. The 3 course room service meal for just under £20 is excellent value and really good quality. The shower is also top notch. Breakfast was also very tasty. Would certainly stay again.

Lovely room (albeit a small-ish one) and great view across Kensington Park and Hyde Park. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect. Few minor niggles: Had to wait over an hour for room service as they lost our ticket and couldn't remember the room number. Breakfast was tasty but there was a wait for hot food. We arrived halfway through the 4 hour breakfast service and all the trays of hot breakfast items were empty. Chef would bring out a hot tray of 1 ingredient to replenish every 5 minutes or so, which was no good as when you eat a full English you want all the parts to it on your plate at the same time! We definitely would stay here again though, as these were only minor niggles .

Great staff, brilliant location, thin walls. So, I will cover off why I only have 3 stars as there is only 1 reason. Personally, when I'm staying in a hotel it is mainly because I am off doing something fun and need a place to sleep. So, 90% of what I want from hotel is a good sleep. Sadly, this hotel has very thin walls. I turned in about 11pm and drifted nicely off to sleep...to be woken by every person the returned to their room later...bith chatting and doors opening and closing. And again in the morning, I was awoken by people getting up earlier and doors opening/closing. The good points are many though. The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. As soon as I sat in the bar a staff member came over and took my order without me even leaving my seat. The place looks great, the room was spacious and clean and the free upgrade was excellent as well! Location was perfect for Hyde park with a short 15 minute walk to winter wonderland for me and my girlfriend. Overall if you can sleep through noise is highly recommend this hotel. However, for me, I don't expect to be able to hear other guests in the hallway or their own rooms when I stay at a 4*+ hotel.
