Staff refused to get the ramp out due to it being 'too steep to walk on' and so my mum had to struggle up and down the entrance steps. There are lifts inside, but that's if you can access the building first.nnThe 'accessible' room wasn't big enough to fit the walker in, so it had to be left outside. The bath was way too high for my mum to step over, and so she ended up having to have a strip wash in the sink.nnOn the plus side, the restaurant staff were absolutely amazing. They were all very polite, accommodating, and always on the ball. I can't point out any particular staff member as they all did an amazing job every morning. They deserve a big well done.
For a weekend stay in London, this hotel makes an ideal place to stay. Whilst the doors into/within rooms are thin, the rooms are generally comfortable. The bathroom is functional & perfectly OK, you get hot water quickly & the shower is fine. Nice smelling complimentary shower gel & shampoo. The bed is comfortable, albeit the pillow is flat & hard. The breakfast is typical of a hotel this size, with a typical buffet selection. The general ambience is nice & relaxing. All in all it is well worth staying here if visiting London.
Extremely pleased with the room and superb customer service at reception upon checking in and made me feel welcome.nI stayed on the 15th of January under different surname. I loved the views of Hyde park from my room, and the beautiful high ceilings. Everything was very clean and fresh. Upon checking out the customer service was excellent.
Double room was a single with a double bed! No space to move...bathroom in need of an upgrade but was clean ish dust on door panelling but sheets, bathroom clean. Service was OK, waiter was pleasant but needs training in the art of being a waiter...manager in restaurant/bar actual restaurant was closed for refurbishment but we weren't told when we booked, so had to eat in bar was experienced but quite under pressure ...we sat in lounge after we'd eaten and asked for more drinks but refused as bar was closed! Would have thought that as residents we could have ordered more or been given prior warning that they were closing ..think it was about 11.30/midnight. Food was quite good...breakfast was 7.30 -9.30 and 9.30 on the dot, food started to be cleared, someone asked for more of something but was told not possible.nLocation was good , very near tube and buses...nSo wasn't terrible but room for improvement...
I've stayed at the Corus a few times with mixed results.nThis last time I was given a single room which was tiny, dirty carpet, single bed. I felt like Harry Potter Under The Stairs!! Huge extractor fan outside my window which was noisy.nHotel is nice. Fantastic location and reasonably priced normally, but I felt on this occasion my room did not offer value for money.nStaff are good and friendly. Decent breakfast.nThere were lots of fruit flies ion and around the bar which was off putting.
