Comfy firm bed with good pillows. Good walk in shower. Staff let us check in early which was much appreciated after traveling for nearly 30 hours. Room was a bit cold and it took a few hours for the heating to warm it up. Room service was a bit disappointing. We had to cancel our dinner order after we were told the kitchen had run out of tuna for the Niçoise salad. Overall a pleasant stay though.

The hotel is being refurbished so not all is smooth, but the staff were very welcoming and helpful. There were problems with the air con and windows in the room, but if you ask they will move you to a room that has been re-done and it should work fine. The location is very good for places to eat and the museums are a few minutes walk away.

I had stayed here a few times and while the rooms are in various states of repair my biggest issue is really in relation to the staff who run this hotel. Initially following check in I discovered the a/c in my room was not functioning. I was advised on calling reception that it had been turned off for winter. Having sayed a week or so earlier I knew this to be a lie (a/c fully functional in other rooms) however I decided to ignore this and went to iron my shirt for the morning. Again I needed to call to reception as no iron or board in the room. I was then asked if I needed this now (I was made to feel i was disturbing the reception staff) to which I advised I did. When it finally arrived it was barely functional and the board itself covered in some sticky brown substance. I was advised I could cover this with a towel. Having seen the behaviour of staff I decided it was not worth complaining any further given previous reaction with hotel staff (broken clock, hole in the carpet, curtains hanging off, hole in bath) rather advising hitlon directly which I would strongly advise any other guest to do.

Quite disappointing, other than the location and staff nothing is up to standard. Staff is friendly and helpful and location quite ideal if you want to have easy access to tube and museums hence the two stars otherwise I’d rate it at one star. The rooms are small and not very clean, they have a device called handy which is helpful but I was apprehensive to touch it because of the thick layer of dust on it. The bathtub had a hole in it and the entire room was not clean. I was staying for a night so didn’t had the time or the strength to complain. Ordered room service the food was cold, tasteless and expensive. If you are a light sleeper like me then I would suggest book elsewhere because there is nonstop creaking from the corridor or the adjacent rooms and knocking sound which get louder at night. Very happy that I stayed only for a night and not longer.

Simply said: don't come here. It reads as a 4 star hotel but it is not. Booked 7 nights for 2 rooms for my family. The lifts were broken and had to climb 5 floors to get to my room. The A/C / heater works intermittently. Rooms are old and quite run down. The construction outside is noisy and had to change rooms a few times given the clanging sound of chains outside left from construction did not let us sleep. The staff did not care about the lift situation and only changed our rooms (marginally better to the 3rd floor) when I loudly complained at the lobby. On top of that, my wife's gold ring was STOLEN from the room. I complained to Hilton and they offered 15,000 points (doesn't even cover a night!). Awful place, I would never recommend this to anyone!
