The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is an elegant contemporary four-star hotel in prestigious Kensington, located two minutes’ walk to High Street Kensington underground station, making exploring easy. Easy to find and in a very nice area. Reception busy but friendly and polite. Room nice but dated. Could have done with a more careful clean. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was nice but chaotic as had to find own table etc. Had to ask for previous persons dishes to be removed from table. Then ask for cutlery etc.Rooms: 3/5
Great hotel and staff, very welcoming and happy to assist. Room- we booked the hotel for 8 nights. Each time we left the room to be cleaned we received fresh towels. Rooms are very quite, with very little sound coming from the street and the room beside us. Water at the shower was always warm. Staff- Philip welcomed us at the front reception, was very nice and warm. Jasmine at breakfast was very helpful with getting everything right at the first day. Thank you, would recommend!!
Location is excellent, very close to the tube and close to all happy things to do in Central London. The rooms were pretty good, very clean. However, they were still working on things in the room when we arrived and kept coming in and out. Service was pretty good and pretty quick, however going to the restaurant in the hotel we asked for a table, were seated, and never got even a menu. The food sounded good, but we never got to try it.
The reviews was not so good for this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised with it. For the price you pay its a great option. Room is big considering the location , king size bed is comfortable. Nice view and overall environment is clean. Other options in a similar price range offer much smaller rooms in the area. Front desk is helpful and polite. Check in/check out flawless Great option for London visitors
This is a less than mediocre hotel at a great location. A five minute walk from the tube and bus stops, a short walk away from nice cafes and restaurants, it's conveniently located. But the hotel itself needs substantial upgrades. I stayed in what they call an 'executive room', but the room quality was equal to what you would get in an average hotel in a small town in Turkey. The heating situation is archaic, and I cannot imagine what the AC situation is in the summer. The bathroom ceiling was leaky, the furniture old and dirty, mini bar non-existent. They advertise that you get a 10-pound voucher every day, and a late checkout; but the late checkout was not an option, and the voucher I had to go and ask for every day at the reception. The cafe on the ground floor is worse quality than an average street cafe. Service is extremely slow. The price is wayy too much for this quality and service. Do not recommend.
Stayed here for around 5 days. Hotel was easy to find and in a great location. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and tea/coffee station replenished. Would definitely stay here again if back to London. Also have to say the person in charge of the little cafe in the entrance was amazing, he was so friendly and always made great hot chocolates.
This was my second time staying at the Copthorne Tara Hotel and both times the staff have been superb and the service outstanding. I was surprised to find that breakfast had been included in the cost of the stay this time round. A great selection of buffet items were available at the breakfast from cereal and fruit, to pastries to hot breakfast. Our server was named Venu and he was very kind, helpful and approachable. All the qualities of an excellent waiter. I will be back to this hotel again for sure.
The best thing going for this hotel is the location. More specifically it's close to many attractions that someone would want to see for the first time as well as, High Kensington subway station which allows for easy access to many parts of the city. The rooms were average except for the fact that they haven't been renovated since the 90s. But they do come with basic hygienic products shower gel, lotion, soap, shower cap, shampoo
Clean and comfort but overall looks a bit dated. Basin in my room was clogged but after inform them It has been fixed in that day. Soundproof from the next room was not good even good enough to prevent sound from nearby railway. I really appreciated for help from your engineer member cause my friend's car battery run out and engineer staff tried his best to fixed even though he has a limited tool to fix it.
We had very comfy stay at the hotel staff very friendly pretty when we came in with Christmas approaching. Able to use the above whatever time of day. Breakfast was delivered by smiling services and lots on offer full English to continental. Everything is center including small walk away from shops and recommend Ivy nearby for food.
