About

Hilton London Paddington, London's best connected hotel

Story

Hilton London Paddington hotel is one of London’s grandest Victorian hotels, and offers a full range of modern facilities in a fantastic location. Opened in 1854, this Art Deco hotel has 419 individually crafted guest rooms, including 56 premium rooms in a dedicated GWR Tower Wing.

The world’s first palatial terminus hotel, this was the vision of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a 19th century versatile, audacious engineer whose designs revolutionized public transport and modern engineering. Ideally located on Paddington Station, this hotel is only 15 min from Heathrow airport via the Heathrow Express. With four London Underground lines at its doorstep - Circle, Hammersmith & City, District, and Bakerloo - this is one of London’s best-connected hotels. With the capital, and the south and west of England conveniently accessible by rail and road, Hilton London Paddington is ideally positioned to connect those staying for business or leisure.

Within this elegant Victorian building are the cozy Brasserie restaurant, the vibrant Steam Bar, and a well-equipped gym with separate cardiovascular and free weight workout zones.

After exploring the city, rest in one of the well-crafted Art Deco guest rooms. Suites and executive rooms offer complimentary access to the Executive Lounge, serving continental breakfast and refreshments all day. Each of the spacious bedrooms features a plasma TV, WiFi, and a marble bathroom. Suites feature separate living areas.

Make the most of a stay in London with the help and advice of the Concierge desk.

Good hotel location, close to shops selling souvenirs and knickknacks if you're into those things. The room was okay, it comes with a bath tub so no complaints from me. The hotel has seasoned decor but overall neat and clean. The staff was a mix of characters, but the friendly ones made the stay enjoyable. At check-in, i was thankful to be given a bottle of water, probably because I looked flustered after carrying all my luggage inside. While we were there, no one opened the door for us, and getting inside could be a challenge due to the steps before the revolving door and the normal door and the lack of a ramp especially if you're carrying luggage. This hotel was a good choice for us as we were leaving London the next day. It's conveniently located just next to Paddington Station, with a direct train to Heathrow. We ended up taking a black cab anyway.
If you are looking for a solid business hotel in London or a stress free base as a tourist in London, the Hilton at Paddington is a superb choice. Arriving at Heathrow, simply jump on the Heathrow Express train straight to Paddington rail station and you are there! Entrance to the hotel is one floor up next to the Starbucks. The lobby is a great place for casual meetings with fellow travelers or business associates. There is a wonderful Executive lounge on the lobby level. The rooms are spacious, especially for London, and the service is excellent. The area has many restaurants within easy walking distance. Hyde park is close by for runs, walks and birdwatching. Staff is very professional and helpful. Underground stations are accessible throughout Paddington Station so no need to go outside in the rain! Everything you might need from a store, pharmacy etc are all within the station.
Very expensive, no parking, location is central, Rooms are goodnCoffee is seriously horriblenAsked for a latte, came burnt and too hot, asked for then to redo it, it came even hotter, this level of service takes serious skillsnAsked for an expresso, that should be easy enoughnIt feels like when they received they coffee beans, they still decided to blowtorch them.nIt is seriously bad, over roasted to death coffee, change your supplier
Here on a business trip. A bit of a travel for the things to see in London but Paddington is a major hub for trains throughout England and Europe and it’s right next door. Interesting history too. Ok restaurants and pubs in the area but you’ll need to take a train or taxi to get the complete London experience. Rooms were a little run down but kept well and clean. I’d say average. The breakfast is a bit of a disaster, definitely go to one of the close cafes for far better food and atmosphere for less. The station is pretty cool, lots of shops and places to grab a quick bite. Overall decent experience but I’d go elsewhere if work didn’t dictate.
The most dated Hilton hotel I ever stayed in.nThe rooms are huge, but this is pretty much it. The bathroom so very dated.nDidn't even have a mini bar in the room.nThe breakfast was good, the bread selection was great.nThe location is great.
