Really welcoming staff; friendly smiles as they held doors open for us and offered to help with our luggage. The receptionist was polite and friendly as she informed us about our rooms and when breakfast would be served. The room itself was fine, the bed was comfy, apart from the plasticky mattress protector, and the shower room was clean with plenty of hot water. In the morning, the continental breakfast selection was great and we had our choice of items cooked up to order. Overall, a welcoming and comfortable stay.

Stopped off to have a coffee. Had passed the hotel many times first time I had stopped.  The staff were very respectful and the service was very good. The Wycliffe was very cleanand tidy and the atmosphere was good for mid afternoon. I am not a  coffee buff but for me it was very pleasant drink and the price was very good as well.

This hotel is a real little gem in Stockport's crown. I stayed for two nights on business. I arrived late the first night, ten minutes after the kitchen had shut. Fortunately the chef was able to make me a very well presented and welcomed sandwich. The second evening I ate there and the food was superb, a roast dinner, turkey with all the trimmings. I was not expecting the staff to be so professional, they were friendly, polite, courteous and accommodating. My room was very warm and comfortable.

The staff are the stand out asset to this place.
The food though is outstanding, Italian themed and seasonal. Punching way above its appearance and prices.

The food was pretty average and a bit overpriced. The decor hasn't been updated since the 70's but the staff were really friendly and helpful and the cheap drinks made a lot more bearable as the night went on
