Staff were absolutely fantastic. Beth, Alex and housekeeping staff were friendly, helpful and provided outstanding professional service. The room was poor. Mouldy. Opening the window didn't help. This issue needs immediate attention. I will not stay here again. To end on a positive note it was very quiet which is impressive considering the proximity of the airport.
knew straight away I’d been given the most basic of basic rooms. No plug sockets by the bed, and no desk lamp, which made the entire room feel dark, dingy and honestly more like a 1-star hotel. Premier Inns are usually 3-star at best, but this one was dire.nnThe phone signal in the room was so bad I actually had to go sit in my car just to get some work done on my laptop. As soon as you step outside the room you get a single bar of signal. I’m on ID Mobile not the best, I know but I’ve never had to leave a hotel room just to work before.nnBreakfast was another disappointment. There’s no buffet; instead it’s a sit-down, order-and-wait setup. I’m up early for work and simply didn’t have time to wait around, especially with Manchester traffic being what it is. Only one member of staff was serving and taking orders, and they just couldn’t keep up. A proper buffet breakfast is what Premier Inn usually does best not here, unfortunately.nnOverall, giving this place 2 stars feels generous.
Friendly staff. Rooms dated. No plug beside bed. Bathroom fan very noisy and ineffective. Pillows are old with no give/bounce. Spare pillows were exactly the same. Glass mug in room had a chip which cut my finger. Breakfast good but food and drink area small and easily crowded. Very heavy duvet; too hot in December but too cold without it. Location convenient for motorway but not great without a car. I have stayed in a number of Premier Inns which were far better than this one.
Well located next to the A34.nSpacious rooms. Comfortable beds.nBathroom clean.nGreat continental breakfast we don't have the cooked breakfast as you can't guarantee it is cooked immediately prior to eating.nFriendly staff.
Wasn’t impressed with the stay or service. The receptionist “Charlie” repeatedly muttered in a patronising tone that he didn’t know whenever asked simple questions such as “do you have a refillable water station” &n“Is the water from our bathroom sink drinking water”, the rooms didn’t have any plug sockets next to the beds, check in receptionist was very blunt and rude too, rooms were ok otherwise and there was a very helpful female receptionist during our stay who politely agreed to send up an iron but then forgot and had us waiting over 30 mins it just didn’t justify the price at all - have stayed in many other premier inns before and this was by far the worst service and the worst value for money
