This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! The room booked came with breakfast and when I asked about vegan options, it was mentioned they have vegan sausages, certain food is prepared separately and there were eggs...I asked were the eggs vegan and the receptionist looked like a deer in headlights! We go down for breakfast only to find out that there are no vegan sausages and all the hot food was greasy as hell! There were no bowls out for cereal, very poorly prepared.nnThe bed in our room was rock hard! I might as well have slept on the floor. The tv was basic, absolutely no point in watching anything on it and to make things worse, the remote was dusty and sticky! Luckily I always take Antibacterial wipes with me. There was also a sign in the bathroom that if we wanted an antislip mat for the bath, to ask at reception! Why is this not in the room already??nnWhen we checked out earlier than we planned on order to get some proper breakfast we went to reception and said we wanted to check out. After waiting for her to finish her phone call, she didn't even bother to ask us about how our stay was.nnLack of comfort, lack of adequate equipment, lack of customer service, lack of knowledge from the staff about dietary requirements and an extreme lack of comfort.nnDon't bother wasting your money on this place. There are plenty of other hotels worth staying at in the area.
Conference room rental for a full afternoon. The room was ok.nIt was only a small screen for the presentation, and the food provided was not great. I felt the hotel was short on the sandwich fillings and tried to make it spread across all the requested sandwiches.nA good location and plenty of parking.nMay use again but will probably check availability elsewhere first.
This is a lovely hotel to stay at & the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.nThe restaurant isn't available for evening meals at the moment, but they were more than happy for us to order food in & use their facilities to eat.
We recently held our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at The Alma Lodge Hotel and from the initial booking to leaving the following day the service we received was outstanding. Elaine was our contact for the booking and she was extremely knowledgeable and gave us confidence that we picked the right venue.nnOn the day Callum and Faye were on hand for anything we needed, but without being obvious about it. Every member of staff that we encountered were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The day ran seamlessly thanks to the experience of the staff. It made our special day extra special.nnWe would highly recommend the Alma Lodge for any event, especially a wedding.
Very clean and peaceful hotel and surroundings.All staffs are too polite and helpful. Pricing is great as compared to others and the breakfast was awesome. Thanks much for the service.
