Great wee hotel and easily the best restaurant at any premier inn I’ve visited. I work away from home so I’m always at a different hotel or three every week!nnGemma our server was very attentive, great service.nnI had the Chicken wings as a starter and the pizza was absolutely tremendous, freshly made and to die for. Big up to Edward the chef.nnTop notch!
Excellent location and staff amazing great welcome.nRoom was good but very hot as no air con did have big floor fan which we needed.nBreakfast was excellent cooked as we wanted the eggs by chef Mark and Arfa was very polite and both look after you very well. Nothing is too much. Can't fault the breakfast top marks.nWe will be back again soon a big thank you to all for looking after us so well.
We love premier inn but this one fell below par. It seemed understaffed. Room was ok, no air con so really hot. Also the bathroom had a strong odour of damp and mould no visible mould. Breakfast was a disaster. 1 poor lady on her own running the whole restaurant. She has to seat people, take their orders, replenish everything including plates, juice, milk etc. It really wasn't fair on her! Guests were waiting a long time to be seated then a long time to order. The food itself was awful. Everything was undercooked. Portion size was a joke. I literally had about 10 baked beans on my plate. Bacon could of been brought back to life by a vet. The grilled tomato wasn't grilled. You could of used it for a salad. Sausages were the size of pigs in blankets sausages. It obviously showed that the kitchen was also understaffed and the food was being rushed out. I wouldn't stay there again. Not fair to understaff a hotel in this way both on guests but also on the few staff who were doing their best. Needs sorting!
Absolutely fantastic premier inn, probably one of the best I have stayed in and stayed in a lot due to work requirements! The staff is super friendly and fantastic would 100% recommend!nnThe food in the restaurant is very nice and waiters are super friendly, kind, also going above and beyond for your needs and the best waiter you could ask for goes to GEMMA! She is absolutely lovely and always makes sure you are comfortable and happy and was a delight to be around 10/10 for GEMMA!nnWould 100% come back to this Premier Inn if it’s for work or just for a holiday with the family!
Stopped here a few times before, and more than likely will again. Good prem, however, seemed short of staff this time, especially in the Restaurant. We might just have been unlucky though! The main pub/restaurant was closed for refurbishment. Would recommend though,if you've reason to visit Hazel Grove or Stockport.
