always such an amazing meal here! service is impeccable, staff are so lovely and the food even better. couldn’t complain of i tried, highly recommend for anyone from popping in for an afternoon drink to an evening meal
Stopped for a lunch here after a walk over Holcombe. Pleasant warm day. Outdoor seating available under a canopy, however I preferred an indoor spot which they were able to offer with current safely issues adhered to. Inviting inside with rustic feel to it with more than adequate staff numbers to attend to everyone. All staff friendly & eager to assist. Seemed to be divided between food & drink teams with everything table service currently. I ordered the fish finger sandwich with thick cut chips which with pint of the Taylors Landlord was delicious & went down a treat. Food really well prepared with thought into presentation although salad leaves served on the board instead of a side plate or bowl didn't really work, small issue but otherwise a lovely lunch & will certainly return. Definitely recommended if in locality or anywhere near Ramsbottom.
Excellent food, no probs with GF bread to go with the delicious mussel & prawn stew..busy and lovely atmosphere with friendly lovely staff and very dog friendly
Lovely location, friendly staff and great good. I ordered a pizza and it was very tasty cheese was so tangy as it had a mould of different flavours. I requested some hot sauce and it was definitely my type of sauce. Thank you very much and if I'm in the area I'll be visiting again.
After reading headline reviews on Google I thought this would be a nice place to go after our family walk for lunch. But it appears things have taken a downward turn and the headline reviews are 6 months to 1 year old. My son and I had fish and chips its was definitely frozen Bird's-eye and fish not fresh. I wouldn't mind but its not cheap. My other child's pasta was massively over cooked. Young staff behind the bar were friendly apart from the lad and the place looks like it's needs a good lick of paint and brightening up. I can see why the brewery are looking for a new landlord with the sign outside. I would go again for a quick pint after a walk up holcombe hill as its dog friendly and my pint was OK, but no food for me.
What a warming place with fantastic staff. We were welcomed with a smile. Please don’t be fooled by how basic this meal looks. It had the best eggs I’ve ever eaten. The chips were on another level. The ham was out of this world. 9/10 for effort, 9/10 for taste, 1/10 for presentation. Kudos to the chef.
Lovely atmosphere friendly staff, bit of a mix up on food order only wrote down 1 meal when i asked for 2 . The food was good fresh tasting will be going back
Stopped off for a drink after a walk up Holcombe Hill. Lovely roaring fire. Staff very welcoming. Dog friendly.
Food took over an hour. I think they had to go find the animal first... Steak and roast were overcooked on arrival, steak sauce was missing and had to wait extra for it, mate had to drink the 3 quid sauce as it took so long!, sandwich was very very very very average. Servers were completely uninterested and unapologetic. Shame as lovely location.
I would highly recommend going for a drink after a walk, however I would steer clear of ordering any food.. it was all over cooked and all four meals where sent back to the kitchen. Such a shame as the staff are lovely considering they where clearly overstretched.. I genuinely hope they can find a balance again.
