Visited here on my birthday & to celebrate our engagement & the pub is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was quick, delicious and great quality. They had great vegan and dairy free options available. Would highly recommended.
Never judge a book by its cover. This pub may not look much from the outside but once you enter you are greeted my Victoria a credit to the industry who is so welcoming, then comes the food, wow its like fine dining. I had the belly pork and I'm going to say it I thought it had been cooked by Gordon Ramsey. Well worthy of a Michelin Star or 2 its that good. Do yourself a favour drop in sometime you will not regret it.
We stop in The Royal Oaks on Sunday for a Carvery late lunch. The staff were very welcoming, they made us feel Very comfortable. The food was AMAZING! Even my fussy children enjoyed their Carvery. Thank you for having us.
Very popular for Sunday lunch where you can serve yourself once shown to the food counter, food very good. Guiness was enjoyable too. Parking at the side. Typical pub.
First time visit. Very friendly helpful staff. We didn't go there to eat, but they were turning away a lot of people because they were fully booked. That says a lot about the quality of the food. Good selection on the menu. Reasonably priced. Nicely presented dining area. Dog friendly pub. Barman is an Arsenal supporter Landlord is a Tottenham supporter Dog friendly pub. Recommended
Quite a nice pub in a village very familiar to me. The host at the pub was very friendly and helped us out with orders and so forth. Most of the meals here are all around the same price range which is nice. I ordered a burger. It was a bit of a wait until my food arrived but despite that, my food came hot and fresh. The chips were still very hot and my burger was definitely bigger then i expected. It was so big that I could barely eat it all! Overall, I had a good time here. Will certainly be coming back soon.
We were there on a Thursday and were impressed with the extensive menu and price range. The service was quick in spite of the fact that it was busy. We will be going again. Thanks
Excellent Sunday lunch. Really enjoyed the roast beef option. We went with a group and were looked after very well. It was well organised but still friendly. Thanks to the staff...We will be back, I'm sure.
After reading good reviews and seeing the lovely photos on Google, we decided to visit The Royal Oak for lunch in the garden. The food was fantastic, I really enjoyed the blue cheese and bacon baguette. Will will visit again and recommend to others. Reasonably priced and welcoming staff and we didn’t have to wait long for our lunch. Lovely garden out the back which was well kept and car park.
Can't argue with the claim to be the best roast in Dorset, as we haven't tried every one. However, we have been to many and The Royal Oak is at least equal to the best that we have tried. Excellent value, very generous and dog friendly. Booking recommended for good reason, as we saw a few that hadn't booked that only had the option of eating in the garden. Thank you for an excellent lunch, a friendly welcome and great service. Very highly recommended.
