The Royal Hotel & Bar

Good service friendly, welcoming staff, well kept and served cask ale. Only called in for a beer so can't comment on food and lodgings. I'm just glad that someone is making an effort to keep the pub going and offering nice quality rooms in the town centre. Bar is a bit modern for my taste but I remember this pub going back 40 years so don't take notice of an old fart like me. Could do with wider selection of cask ale but that's me being picky. Will give the food a try because folks tell me it's very good. Here's to the next visit.

Great family run hotel. They can't do enough for you. Rooms are spotlesslt clean and modern. Great comfortable beds. Breakfast is continental style but you can also purchase the full English. We loved the cheeses and selection of cold meats. Hotel is in a great location for the shops, bars and walks a ling the canal. Parking is limited for a small fee but there is a car park at top of the road. 2 min walk. All round great hotel.

Bedrooms are superb and very clean , continental breakfast was top notch and the owner is a lovely lady. Will definitely return.Lovely food and staff.

I am staying here at the moment. The room is large, fully equipped, and spotless. The en-suite bathroom is equally more than adequate for my needs, and has a very large shower stall. It is also an immaculate room. The bar on the ground floor serves excellent food and drinks at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and very competent. It is a delight to stay here and I heartily recommend it to anyone else looking for somewhere to stay in Lancaster.
