Enjoyed a very tasty roast beef mushroom and gravy baguette with fries yesterday followed by a equally tasty cheese cake.nGreat food, potions are large and definitely great value for money. Family friendly pub, even had a couple of games of pool with my young son in between course. Highly recommend
Had lunch on 6th Feb 2024. Friendly welcome. We had lunch and the food was delicious. My friend had the chicken supreme and I had Bangers and Mash. Sausages were really tasty with lovely mash potatoes and really good gravy. The Chicken Supreme was really good as well. It's a long time since I've been in the York. The refurb is good, everywhere clean. Will definitely be back. I wish the owners every success as they deserve it.
Went for a couple of breakfasts and the owners are just so pleasant . the breakfasts looked fresh and were very clean looking breakfasts . tasted very nice too . Only thing would be I prefer my bacon cooked a lot longer
Great local pub. Food is exceptional and value for money. Always something happening - live music, karaoke, TV sports and superb set up for darts/pool. Friendly atmosphere.
The York Hotel is the nearest pub to my home and it is next to York Bridge which takes Lancaaster Road over the railway lines into .nIt was originally built by the railway line owners but I think it is owned and run now by great people who have brought it back to life with great ales, food, music,karaoke nights, pool, live sports on big screens, darts and lovely veranda outside to smoke or whatever ! I love that place and it’s easy to walk there and back. I don’t go as much as I’d like to because I’m a widow who’s bf lives in Carlisle and he doesn’t get down here very often but I have 2 grown up sons who live with me and they will sometimes come with me. But it costs me a fortune because they never have any money lol!!
