Brewers Fayre Cottams Field

Pretty good. Nice food. But when we ate was close to the carvery finish time and they should've said there wasn't much carvery left (no veg, no potatoes, only meat). They dealt with the issue well (apologies and comped meals) though a proper dinner to start with would've been our preference. The lack of veg and potatoes was mentioned to the counter. Perhaps just doing a quick side dish of veg for our table at the tin would've been good. Meals of the menu were great.

The service was prompt, staff were very friendly and the food was of a good standard. The system for ordering food worked for us and we have no complaints about anything at all. There is ample parking available in a well maintained car park. The interior decor and general ambience suit the image of Brewers Fayre as a gastro-pub.

Well, I don't like their system for ordering food and drink, where you wait to be seated, are shown to a table, told to study the menu, remember your table number, and then go to the bar to order. Return to your table, then wait.... and wait. They also have a poor record of actually having what I want from the menu, including turkey in Christmas week! Then you return to the bar to pay. Prices OK though. The excellent adjoining Premier Inn could do with a better partner!

Food was good. Nice friendly staff. The only bad thing was too many dirty pots left on tables. If they would clear them up more often then it gets a five from me.

Enjoyed our meal here tonight with the family. Always a good time and the staff were brill. Loved it....
