We were thankful to find this place open on the evening before the Fred Whitton when only one other place was open and said to be fully booked. The staff hadn't planned on staying open but because demand was high they fed us. I had a huge portion of fish and chips with the most amazing homemade tartar sauce. My partner had the gammon and chips and struggled to eat it all. We couldn't resist the large section of lovely cake, we bought 2 to take with us and got a tasty bit of lemon cake on the house. The guy that took our order was run off his feet, seating people, taking orders, making drinks, clearing tables and helping in the kitchen. The place was buzzing and we left very full and happy, thank you!

I had THE BEST BLT of my entire life here! I loved it! Great food and great atmosphere!

Absolutely cracking breakfast. Great value. Quick service with a smile and had a lovely latte. Well worth a visit.

A great place for lunch - it offers something different to the places around it. It would be nice to be able to have an evening meal here.

Nice cafe in the centre of Grasmere. Friendly staff and pleasant interior. We had; lemonade, hot chocolate (huge!) & a scone - all very nice
