This is an amazing building with lots of character in an amazing setting that is Harrogate. The hotel is going under renovations but the room was still lovely, staff couldn't help you enough and the grounds were lovely. We had breakfast for two mornings and one dinner and all were lovely and the staff again we're perfect. My only down side to this hotel is it's claim to be a 'spa hotel'. There is an old fashioned small pool with a lackluster jaccuzi and same sex saunas. This bit especially needs some updating. Overall, I would definitely recommend for those looking for a short stay round Harrogate but not as a spa hotel stay!

Had a great stay at The Majestic Hotel. Room was nice and clean although a little dated, plumbing was very loud and could hear it when toliets were flushed in other rooms, wasn't a huge issue for us though as we spent minimal time in the room. Had evening meal and breakfast included which were both really really nice. Service could have been a bit better but all round we had a great stay and hotel isn't far from the centre of Harrogate.

Great hotel, lovely ambience. The room I stayed in was clean & well decorated and furnished. The hotel is stately in appearance and makes a great location to stay in Harrogate, close to the city centre and with good parking facilities. Let down by the evening meal. It took almost 3hours to be served and eat a 3 course meal. It delayed our conference and put everyone in a foul mood for the rest of the evening.

Very beautiful hotel dating from1900. Unfortunately they haven't had a revamp since the 80's. Electricity is unstable and a power cut forced us to move room on our last night. Requests from the hotel took two or three repeats to get things done. Although lifts are present I would recommend disabled travellers book elsewhere; this hotel did not have an assisted fire evacuation list, some function space forced wheelchairs to travel around the outside to access (even in the rain) other areas are not accessible. I can't comment on the food as going out to restaurants was quicker than getting served. The (unannounced) 8 am wake up from builders with hammers was more than we were willing to overlook.

I actually loved the air of faded elegance. The hotel needs a facelift and is getting one but it has epically huge rooms and lovely staff. They weren't prepared for our visit, conventions are unusual so we had some glitches but overall they were great. Love the place, would go back in a heartbeat!
