This hotel has a great location right by the River Ouse. It is within walking distance of the railway station and some of York's main attractions such as the York Minister and The Shambles.nThe room was spotless and very well equipped. It is not too big but has everything you need. Ideal for a solo business trip. The staff are very nice and the buffet breakfast is also very good.nWe also had a business dinner on the first day at the Paddle Room one of the hotel's restaurants and the food was delicious.nThis is a good choice if you plan to visit York, which, by the way, is a city with a lot to offer.
Very up to date hotel. Great location with about a 5 minute walk into the town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is it cost us £35.00 to park our car for our stay. Considering price of hotel this should have been cheaper.
The hotel is gorgeous! Really clean, smart hotel and the room was amazing. We had a few issues checking in as apparently we were still to pay even though we had paid online, we also were told we booked an accessible room but this was not the case, however this was soon resolved and we were even upgraded to a room overlooking the river with a balcony! The room was absolutely spotless and the Call and Collect food was lovely aswell! Bit of noise in the night from people coming back from a night out but that can't be helped.
We stayed for 3 days. Rooms warm and comfortable beds. Clean, tea and coffee available in room. Rooms are dark. Bathroom bright.nStayed for breakfast, which was very nice. I just found breakfast room cold as air con was on. Breakfast and cuppa got cold very quick.
Excellent price for the location of the hotel. Very limited parking available at the hotel undercover parking so if it’s full don’t waste your time hoping a space will become available as there’s an NCP at Tanner Row just 2 mins walk away that has ample parking and the hotel can give you a discount card for your stay. The rooms are spacious and presented nicely. York centre is on your doorstep without it being noisy from the York hustle and bustle. Our only criticism is we could hear a very loud and inconsiderate neighbour to our room late in the night with probably means the rooms have thin or poorly noise insulated partition walls. We had a river facing room and had great views of the river and York to the north.
