We stayed in 4 bedroom lodge and it was fantastic! Great views across the golf course, hot tub, and loads of room for 8 adults. We're already looking to book for next year 👍

Still currently staying. Windows were dirty on arrival, WiFi not working which has been reported but not fixed. However, the Lodge is absolutely stunning! Heated floor, shower's are powerful and easily controllable.

Lovely lodges and surroundings, plus close you York, well worth a stay missed one star and we didn't know about all the facilities

Overall impression is that I wouldn't choose to stay here again or recommend it. It's a beautiful location and really well appointed - the room was clean and pretty comfy as far as the bed was concerned, although the desk chair was impossible to sit on and the sofa bed seat was under the tv so it was not a place to be comfortable in for an evening.  Confusingly it's not an hotel but all lodges as far as I could make out.  Four rooms to a lodge.  There is no room service and once the reception closes at 7ish,  there's only the bar open which closes at 11pm.  After that the whole site is on their own.  There is a phone number to ring in emergencies but with dodgy cell signal this could be somewhat hit and miss.  We were snowed out on Sat night and there was no one on site to help or advise.  The breakfast on Sunday was atrocious.  A buffet style flop!  Disgustingly hard dry eggs and wet hash browns plus tea or coffee served from a flask (See pics). On both nights we stayed it seemed to have coincided with a hen weekend so they were shouting and singing at the tops of their voices till early hours and no one on site to help.  Monday morning brought an improvement in the breakfast with a cooked to order menu.  (See pics).  The average age of the staff was about 18 and with one exception they had no idea about customer service.  Oh, and despite what was advertised, I had to pay in full up front.  No chance of a £15 refund for that breakfast then!  In summary, a lovely place just lacking in serious service.
