What can be said that hasn't been said on previous reviews. Stayed for one night and that was more than enough. Very dated. Our room had ill fitting floral curtains like something out of the 70s. The carpet has a hole from where moths have eaten it. The bath could do with some bleach. The shower head was cracked and leaked out of the side. Dinner was not great! We received measley portions and thank goodness as they were not good. Carrots with black patches, hard broccoli and we were only given two small potatoes! Not worth the money paid. I wished we had eaten in the bar. Staff were not the happiest and only pleasant greeting we got was from a cleaner taking rubbish to the bins. I was kept awake by the people in the room above evening and morning as the floors creaked so bad. Best thing about it was distance to the centre.
Three night stay with friends to visit the flower show and Harrogate area. This is our third visit. We each had a single room, with comfy bed, hot water, and were nice and quiet. The breakfasts are lavish - fresh fruit, juices, yoghurts, cereals, cheese, cold meats, bagels, crumpets, seeded rolls ask for these to be toasted if you like, cooked food. Evening meal is also excellent. A choice of four dishes for each course, we were spoilt for choice, and delicious. They clearly have a great chef!nThe hotel staff couldn't be nicer too. An easy stroll into Harrogate centre. Large car park. Very reasonable price.nReally, what more could you want.
Really beautiful old hotel. Room was spacious, clean and bathroom well stocked. Staff were really friendly. We were a walkin and ended up staying an extra night. Location is great for the town and of course the paking was a real bonus because of prices of street parking in the other hotels. Highly recommend.
My sister and I stayed here to surprise our parent who were staying on a motorhome site nearby.nWe found the hotel perfectly fine.nWe used the gym area which was sufficient for what we wanted.nWe slept well and found the staff to be helpful.nYes it could do with some improvements, but its value for money and a good location
The hotel was very tired and needed a lot of refurbishment. The room was dinghy and very noisy and next to the service stairs. Only a bath. The breakfast was good but the evening meal left a lot to be desired. No selection of vegetables. Loin of,pork twice in four nights. Would not recommend it.
