The Light is a 3 screen all digital cinema with a stunning cafe bar located in the heart of Thetford. Close to a great selection of restaurants we cover all of your movie-going needs, with the latest blockbusters, independent film and Light Arts.

Story

A 3 screen all digital cinema close to a great selection of restaurants located in the heart of Thetford.

At The Light we cover all of your movie-going needs, showing the latest blockbusters, independent film, and bring back classics for to either revisit or experience for the first time on the big screen.

We also offer a range of event cinema in our Light Arts programme that featues ballet, opera and theatre, plus music, sport too!

You can kick back and enjoy a wide selection of hot drinks, plus an extensive collection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails in our cafe bar. All of our screens are fully licenced so you can enjoy a drink whist sat in our luxury seating.

The Light is a champion of accessible cinema and provide a wide range of screenings so everybody can enjoy a day at the movies. Our programme includes subtitled, autism friendly, audio described, baby friendy and dementia friendly films!

Wonderful, staff very friendly and helpful. Loads of leg room when watching the film, very spacious. Only us two and two others to watch the film and I worry how this place can afford to stay open. Hope we don't lose it
Lovely little cinema with 3 screens and nicely laid out. It's always clean and tidy and staff especially most recently were friendly and polite. I always use this cinema now as I much prefer it to any others. Pricing is ok for tickets pretty similar to others but food and drink in my opinion is expensive and personally I don't rate it much. But, others have said it's ok/good. There's free parking in Thetford too so makes this the perfect place for us to come and visit.
I was very surprised and very impressed with everything here. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be back again. The whole place was clean, the staff were lovely, and the seats were extremely comfortable.
Booked to see Avatar 2. Got there only to find out it had been cancelled the day before. They never let us know. No help from staff just told to call customer services the next day. Petrol and babysitting money wasted! Customer services reluctantly said they would refund the tickets but no compensation. Appalling service. They don't deserve to be in business if this is how they treat people.
Found the food + drinks very expensive cost about £8.20 for regular popcorn and a bottle of coke not on draught.About £1 for coke meaning popcorn was over £7. The seating area is great your high enough so that heads don't get in the way . Was great for my 3yr old little friend he could see great on the regular chair. Also reminded me of the old time cinemas when an usher would come in and talk to you.There usher spoke to say about the film and said to enjoy.Great touch. A negative was in the waiting area a table was taken up by a huge amount of pre-made popcorn bags enormous bags.
The 'Light' Cinema in Thetford has three screens, the seats are very comfortable and all three screens are wheelchair accessable with one space for wheelchair users in each screen. Staff are very polite and helpful.
Our first visit to this cinema, it certainly won't be our last. Very clean and comfortable. Very pleasant and friendly staff.

**Read this** A fantastic cinema- small in stature but big in character and atmosphere. A delightful entrance with seating for small nibbles, some popcorn, drinks both alcoholic, soft, coffees, teas etc, and a perfect area to just chill before or after a viewing/ even just if you’re popping by. The staff are always very friendly and personable- which helps any visit to be more enjoyable. ‍ The screens are good size, importantly the sound in the screens is very good and not ridiculously deafening like they can be at the big cinema chains. The seating is comfy and not over-crammed in. Toilets facilities are clean, with each being it’s own separate rest room, along with a good sized accessible toilet on the ground floor. A great cinema, well worth using & enjoying, so much nicer than any of the giant soul-less money-sucking cinemas in other towns. The outlet is card/contactless only- no cash. The Light , cinema gets a maximum 6-smile rating from us.
