The regal is one of the best 2d only cinemas in the area, the prices are consistently at £8.95 for a standard movie around £20 for event cinema and sometimes less for reruns pmmnnRecently, I got to see spongebob 2025, which had some really catchy music and a lighthearted and entertaining story easy for everyone to enjoy.nnThe screens are always very clean and the sound and picture quality is always enjoyable. The best screens are the new screen 2 and 3 as they have better sound quality than the main screen 1.nnThe snacks and drinks are reasonably priced. £3 for a large fountain drink about half what you would expect at a large franchise and about the same for a bag of sweets or popcorn or ice cream.nnThe selection of movies are not as vast as a large chain cinema but the movies that are most popular are usually whats on. Smaller movies tend to be released a week or two later than usual.nnTheir memberships are good, if cinema is your thing then you can potentially save some money and get discounts on snacks and drinks.nnI reccomed the regal to anyone wanting to see movies without the extra formats like 3d 4d imax.nnAt other places you can spend double getting a ticket for 2d screenings and regal keeps things low cost.nnOne of the most fun things in our community!
Nice cafe, clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Cinema is pleasant, again clean and comfortable. Live acts ect they have are also good
Such a lovely independent cinema, good movie selection and really enjoy the National Theatre Live events. Food and drinks are delicious and reasonable. Comfy seats and lots of leg room.
I haven't been to the cinema a quite a long time, and thought I'd give The Regal a visit. I'm glad I did. I got that refreshing feeling of the cinema trip experience, that I only remember from my younger years. Will be going back.
The Regal Cinema and Theatre Is local to me. I always enjoy coming here with my family to watch newly released films and the Christmas Pantomime hosted by SODS. There are hot and cold drinks and a slushy machine which serves a variety of different flavours, and some chocolatey snacks and sweet or salty popcorn. Staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. The Regal has an online website so you can see what’s on and book In advance if you prefer. The Regal café is located inside the Regal so you can get lunch and watch a movie after. There’s a car park next door to cinema. I Highly recommend coming here.
