Now the refurbishment is nearly done still odd bits need doing near the Oscar bar,the seating is lovely very comfortable,the front walk way is so much better now that the old tills have gone,but I use the disabled toilet but it had no toilet roll or hand soap this need to be sorted right away and regular checks signed off,one other thing is the protector room lightning needs tonbe checked and switched off as it was left on half way through a movie light up the back row,few tune ups need sorting but other than that I love the new look,photos of the look and the bright light
The new refurbishment has made the seating very nice for couples not great for groups of more than 2 and the layout of the rows are better for viewing... that however is all the positive that's can be said.nThe prices have sky rocketed, the old £5 a ticket has tripled in price, they are pushing the use of their touchscreen order points over the large counter with people, these screens which are painfully unresponsive, push ad's after every item added and requires an personal account to even use.nStaff now have less to do at the counters as they no longer take orders or pour drinks you get a cup to self-serve and yet are seem more rushed around than ever during a minor gathering this is no slight or complaint at the staff but more the new system that clearly isn't working for them nor is actually designed to help them in any waynnFinal nail in the coffin is their inability to assist with the car parking tickets anymore, they tell you to talk to the desk at the car park who tell you there's nothing they can do nor any assistance anymore.nnOverall will have to find a new regular cinema to attend, if it's even worth doing so regularly anymore
Very comfortable. Not too busy on a Monday afternoon. Saw Moana 2. Loved the recliner chairs.
Great cinema , chairs very comfy, they can recline and also have trays attached and you have so much leg room.nOnly issue we had was me and my son sat on the back row and we couldn’t see the bottom of the screen because of the large wall separating the seats in front.nKids snack box was a reasonable price.
8 November 2024, viewing screen 8. Viewing experience very good, sound and picture excellent, seats recliner extremely comfortable, atmospherics terrible, food extortionately expensive. There may be something wrong with the electronics inside viewing screen 8, it was like sitting in an icebox for 2 hours. It was colder inside viewing screen 8 than outside in the winter weather. Sat with my coat and scarf on and still felt freezing cold. On asking other patrons sitting on the other side if they felt cold or was it just us, but they agreed they felt very cold the whole time.
