In January 2012, Diss Corn Hall will become an Arts Award Centre, offering young people aged 11-19 in Diss and the surrounding area the chance to gain a national qualification of either Bronze or Silver.

Arts Award is a framework which helps young people to learn and share new creative skills, to make links with creative professionals in the arts and media and to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

From January Diss Corn Hall will be open as a Youth Arts Centre, holding weekly ideas workshops to work on Arts Award portfolios, and to plan a performance showcase event of your choice. There will also be a series of workshops in beatboxing, singing and creative writing to name a few and we are offering after-show discussions on certain Diss Corn Hall performance events talk to the artists and ask questions. Products

FREE WEEKLY IDEAS WORKSHOPS: run by trained, CRB-checked, Arts Award advisors on Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm, beginning 4th January. We’ll also provide an exciting programme of subsidised workshops and performances by arts professionals.
