Cinema City
"Cinema City occupies Suckling House, the 16th-century home of Robert Suckling, Mayor, Sheriff and Burgess. The oldest surviving parts of the building date from the early 14th century. After falling into disrepair Suckling House was bought by Ethel Mary and Helen Caroline Colman in 1923. They restored it and added Stuart Hall, intended as a public space and equipped with a cinema projector and screen. The Cinema City Bar & Restaurant is situated within the beautiful 17th-century Suckling House, featuring vaulted ceilings, stone arches and antique panelled rooms. They also encompass the Sir John Hurt Centre function rooms, which are full of reminders of the city’s rich cinema history."

In the heart of Norwich you can find this sweet little cinema. Very cozy outside drinking area and screening rooms with good sizes! The staff was very helpful and friendly, all our meeds were met and we would love the come here again!
Had a really lovely lunch in the Dining Rooms today. Food arrived swiftly, generous portions and really tasty. Staff very efficient. I always choose Cinema City when I want to see a film. Such a lovely historic building.
Lovely place and an institution in Norwich. It's charm and history are part of local heritage, offering a diverse selection of films from all culture and genre. There's a nice bar and you can take drinks in to the cinema which is very civilized. The cafe offers a nice selection of food and is very ambient. A five star experience but one star taken off as it can be rather chilly inside and the prices are way too high we paid almost 3 times that of Odeon and Vue.
Great place to visit for the building with a mix of old and contemporary features but also for the food - breakfast, brunch and supper all served, which is great and always of an excellent quality. Very good selection of drinks, wine, spirits, beer and soft - and if your quick there's often a selection of cakes and pastry on the bar. It does have a cinema too which, as part of the Picturehouse set up, shows a selection of big box office movies and plenty of lower budget movies too. There are theme nights also where a whole series of movies may be shown one after the other such as "Lord of the rings". Take a look
Have been to the café/restaurant at Cinema City a few times to meet family for a light snack and coffee. Always find it a quiet pleasant place with a nice ambience. Much better than the usual high street nationals.
Visited for a drink whilst in town on holiday, as this is probably my favourite cinema in the UK. The bar is set in the old building and is a calm and beautiful place. It serves good food at reasonable prices, their brunch menu is a particular standout. The cinema shows art house / indy films and is a comfortable and cosy place. Love this place!
First time visit to Cinema City. Although more expensive than the others in the area, its more of a treat to come here. Smaller screens, comfy seats make it more cozy. Food and drinks are available too.
Never felt like I had to leave a review before but I came to Cinema City tonight, it was a lovely, cosy and christmassy atmosphere. I had a Picturehouse Burger and it was one of the best burgers I have had. Will definitely be returning soon!
Love the cinema but the Picturehouse online booking system is not very reliable. It says a booking is successful though I don't receive the e-ticket, and then warns that I mustn't leave the webpage or I'll abandon my booking. It also wanted to charge me for a 'ReDiscover' free-to-members show. I tried to ring the cinema but no-one answers. I don't know how the parent company survives when online booking is so flakey, they must lose a lot of potential custom.
My first time at cinema city and i saw with my daughter amd son. In law Harvest by Neil Young and it was an awesome experience, comfy seats and could take a coffee and drink in my seat while watching, really emjoyed the experience and Harvest was totally fantastic in fact I'm gonna by the 50th anniversary box set with the dvd inside. I'll be back that's for Sure
