Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in my life. 1. We were robbed at the lobby while doing check in. 2. The hotel gave us the excuse that the hotel lobby was a public place and anything can happen and they are not responsible, they also say my luggage was unattended when it’s a complete lie my luggage was right next to my mother’s chair. They have the entire incident on there cameras. 3. We were approached and robbed by 4 people and no one at the hotel did anything about it. 4. Customer service from everyone was horrible starting from the manager to everyone else under him. 5.Rooms are small. 6. Absolutely no attention to detail. 7. While doing check out other were also complaining in front of me about hotel. 8. Absolutely no respect. 9. Everything about hotel it’s just horrible. Safety: Dear all, I’m currently staying at the hotel with my family. If you are planning on coming to this Hotel and SAFETY is important to you DON’T. My family and I including our kids arrived at the hotel at 2pm. While I was doing check in my family took seat at the lobby we place our handbags next to us, 10 minutes later a group of people approached our seats and stole my Louis Vuitton backpack carrying our medications, money, my 4 year old’s iPad, our phone charger and other important items. As someone that travels around the world almost monthly this is something you expect can happen on the street on a bus… etc but never on a lobby of a 5 star hotel. The way everyone treated us after this incident was just more frustrating than the actual event. As soon as I noticed my backpack was taken I reported to security, no one moves , they said they will check cameras and took 45 minutes to do so, after they saw the cameras came to us took us to a private room so no one will hear ask us to not say anything or talk and simply told us we had got robbed asked them to call police and they never did because they were worried people at the hotel were going to find out. I asked for the hotel manager after an hour of dealing with everyone at the hotel and being mistreated by all. Manager came and simply said they were sorry but couldn’t do anything since the lobby of the hotel was public and everyone can come in as they please. Obviously not what you want or expect at a 5 star hotel. There’s no security or anyone protecting the lobby which makes us even more worried about our safety. At the end yes you will see beautiful pictures and many reviews as I saw before coming here but the reality is pray you don’t have one incident at this hotel because if you do no one will help or take responsibility for anything and by the way they run the hotel you have 99% of chance you will have a problem like the one I did. I can assure you I was not the first one and won’t be the last one that this happened to.
We had afternoon tea in Palm Court. We had a great time, ambience was just right with a pianist in the background. Sandwiches, scones and pastries all lovely but our main reason for 5 stars was all down to Julian our waiter. It really can make a visit 5 stars when you have amazing service. Julian was attentive, friendly, funny and professional and made sure we had the best time.
The worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel I cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances. From the moment we arrived, we had a terrible experience: while we were waiting in the lobby, someone stole a backpack with all of our baby’s belongings, right in the middle of everyone. The most alarming part is that, if we hadn’t been holding our baby, they could have taken her too. We had to wait over 40 minutes while the security team reviewed the footage to confirm that we had indeed been robbed. We insisted they call the police, but the hotel delayed so much that, by the time they finally made the call, the scene of the crime was already compromised. It felt intentional, as if they were trying to ensure that other guests remained unaware of the incident. During all this time, no one showed empathy or genuine concern. Instead, they moved us aside to prevent us from discussing the issue in front of other guests. I’ve traveled all over the world, and this is by far the most unsafe and dangerous hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The lack of security, the negligent handling of the situation, and the staff’s indifference make it completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel at all.
Stunning hotel experience. It’s everything they say it is, a true London institution. Friendly, welcoming staff. Extremely comfortable rooms, tucked away from the noise, but close enough to the best shopping and dining - Regent Street, Oxford & Bond, Covent Garden. Amazing ballroom for hosting events. Restaurant bar is A+++. Wigmore attached to the hotel has it all: fabulous food, ambiance, craft cocktails, servers are great. Also enjoyed the hotel gym & sauna. Hope to come back. Rooms: Comfortable, love the turn down service Nearby activities: High-end shopping, dining, everything in between Safety: I felt safe here Walkability: Walk to everything, central location Food & drinks: Hotel bar offers creative cocktail menu Noteworthy details: Classic London hotel institution & formidable chef reputation
Disappointing Experience – Our Louis Vuitton Backpack Was Stolen We had a very upsetting experience during our stay. While waiting in the hotel lobby for our room to be ready, our Louis Vuitton backpack was stolen right from the waiting area. We were seated nearby, and the backpack was within sight, so it was shocking and disappointing that it was taken without anyone noticing. While we understand that the hotel cannot control every incident, the lack of visible security and staff oversight in the common areas left us feeling unsafe and vulnerable. This unfortunate event overshadowed our stay and raised serious concerns about the hotel’s security measures. We hope the management takes this incident seriously and improves safety protocols for future guests. Safety: Does not feel safe.
The room was beautiful and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, too. Every member of staff delivered above and beyond service! We felt like VIPs! This is a great location, just three blocks from Oxford Circus station for the Underground. I would highly recommend and can't wait to return for another visit!Rooms: 5/5
Afternoon tea is one of my favorite things to do in London, and this time we decided to try it here. The teas are hand-selected by a chef, which is a nice touch, though I still prefer the tea at Fortnum & Mason. The sandwiches were enjoyable, especially the cauliflower one, which surprised me because I usually don’t like cauliflower. It was so good, I even had seconds. I’m not giving a full five stars mainly because of the service. The waitress corrected me and others at my table three times. I understand there are certain protocols, but if I ask for my tea to be placed near me and the tray of sandwiches in front, that’s how I want it. There’s no need for attitude or rearranging my plates while I’m eating. Walkability: Close to the underground Food & drinks: Afternoon tea set menu
I sometimes go here for a cup of tea, working on my laptop, or afternoon tea. The tea room is amazingly stunning. The hotels interior and bathroom are very nice, and high end. The service is sometimes a bit off. They initially refused my request to have more hot water so that I can have a second brew of my tea, which is odd. After negotiation, they agreed to it.
That is a real 5* with an exclusive service, amazing rooms. The price worth it. It’s so classy and at the same time you feel comfortable anyway. No posh pressure I would say it’s some kind of royal experience. It really reminds me royals with all good manners, restraint, high quality of every ankle. Breakfast is just unbelievable. Have never seen black caviar for breakfast before
Stayed at The Langham for a week in the early 2000s, and it was fantastic! The hotel had and still has a historic vibe but is super comfortable and welcoming. My room was stylish and cozy, and the staff really went out of their way to make the whole stay feel special. I spent a few evenings at The Chukka Bar — great cocktails, relaxed vibe, and bartenders who clearly knew their stuff . The bar is now the artesian and is still fantastic. I’d put this in my top 10 hotels and bars in London for sure
