Very pleased and impressed at the quality and service. Room was very spacious. Bathroom sink was slow to drain, but it was repaired quickly with no fuss. All the staff are polite and helpful. Sunil was exceptional at helping make some changes to my booking. I would absolutely stay here again.
Wow this hotel needs new management. We booked a room MONTHS in advance for our wedding. At the time of booking the site stated only the fitness centre was under renovation. We got to our room and there were holes in the walls, no baseboards, wires everywhere, and CLEARLY was a room currently under renovation. Why is The Holiday Inn allowing guests to stay in rooms currently under renovation!? It was an absolute mess. We got our money back. The front desk service was exceptional and so understanding and disagreed with the decision to rent these rooms. This hotel should get a visit from the fire dept to put a stop to this.
Room “appeared”to be clean BUT the Mattress was badly stained. AC worked but had to turn it off because it was so loud. Bathroom fan did not work. Great Dove body/hair products which was nice. Pool looked like swamp water- do not recommend going in at all. No Breakfast included. Elevators were scary to go into when they did finally arrive. Hotel was under some Reno’s at the time of my stay. Gym was closed. Paid just under $300 and I feel this was wayyyyy over priced for this hotel . I would not recommend this hotel at all.
Highlights of my experience: - Booking was done via the phone. The agent didn't tell me prior to booking that there would be a pet cleaning fee $30 plus tax per their policy. This 'small' detail only appeared on the receipt after the non-refundable booking confirmation emailed to me ten minutes after hanging up and upon check-in the day of. When I expressed my displeasure about not being explicitly informed of the charge before the booking so that I could take a call at that point, the duty manager told me that I could consider going to another hotel. Extremely rude manner and no - The booking indicated that my son was a 12 yr old or under and qualified for the kids breakfast coupon only. Though the - The breakfast which was included in the room fee was in short extremely poor quality and limited. I have been to other three star hotels in other more expensive locations and they all offered buffet breakfast options that included a fairly wide set of options and decent quality. This hotel breakfast was limited to eggs and one meat. All of which you were limited to an offering of one. Moreover, the food was undercooked and did not taste nice. - The 'King suite' resembled two cubbyholes. There weren't enough towels in the room, even though we booked for four people. The sofa-bed also didn't come with any bedding or pillows. When we requested the bedding and pillows, we were told that there could be a chance that there wouldn't be any as the hotel was near capacity. We eventually got some but not without the initial inconvenience and hassle. In sum, very poor showing and definitely not worth any more bookings at a Holiday Inn. Absolute disaster of a hotel.
Another night. Another review. Always greeted with a smile. Having someone know you when you walk in, is an absolutely amazing feeling. Shout out to Aarju for being the best front desk person I've ever had the privilege to deal with. Keep doing what you do. You make this hotel better, always greeting with a smile. Rooms: Going through an upgrade that's been a fantastic. A job well done.
Conveniently located not very far from downtown London, and reception we met was friendly and helpful. However being one of the older hotels, room are not renovated, it's not bad, given their ages they're still kept relatively clean. But they desperately need some renovation. Another drawback located near downtown is noise. I could hear loud noises at night during sleep. Lastly their breakfast is not free and provided with 3rd party restaurant, so bear in mind there's no traditional Holiday Inn style buffet breakfast at this location
Had a fantastic stay last weekend. Room was clean and the hallways. Front desk staff were attentive and friendly. Was a 4 minute walk to landmark theatre and location was great. Lots of parking.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here over a weekend with the family. Realized quickly our toilet did not flush properly. Maintenance was quick to come and check it out, said he fixed it and left. I also found out that the pool was closed even though the IHG app and hotel website did not mention that. Its a shame because the family packed and was excited for the pool. When we left for our adventure and returned we realized things were different in our room. I quickly spoke with front desk and was told that staff did enter my room by accident as they were trying to drop off "hand soap" to another room. We did have the do not disturb sign on our door handle and there should be no reason why a staff member should continue to be in a room without the guests and touch things. This really put the family in a uncomfortable feeling. The staff were apologetic and offered a breakfast voucher to Mylos which is a horrible breakfast spot attatched to the hotel. I phoned with IHG to put in an investigation and come to some sort of resolution, but they do not do a single thing or care. They put all the onus on the hotel and thats it. Also the toilet was not repaired and continued its issues throughout the night when we returned. Its a shame that our stay here was so unpleasant, as our trust for IHG hotels is gone.
At the weekend there are staying hockey and baseball teams in the hotel. Forget then to get a rest and a quiet night, there is party all over the floors. Drunk parents sitting and yelling, kids running and screaming and the biggest thing slapping doors every second all night long. If you say something to the parents, they laughing and threaten you. Hotel management can't handle the behaviour, but the good thing at the story is, that the weekend rate for the room is double so expensive. So if you like it it's the best place to stay.
I am only giving this review low because they were in the middle of reservation however it didn't say that at the time of booking. It was very clean considering this. However with a check out at 12pm you would think they would not do any work until we left. At just before 10am on. Sunday morning they were drilling right above us. It was so loud. We just rushed and got out of there. I'm glad they are doing the renos cause the room looked dated and looked like lots of water damage. I will go back here after the renos. Front desk was awesome and gave us our room early. Very polite and helpful. The location is the best thus far. Easy access to food and entertainment.
