I live near the Landseer and it’s a great place to meet up with friends. They are casual about orders so people can come and go some just having a pint and others with whole meals just go to the bar and order what you want, when you want. The staff are friendly and easygoing. The food is very good but there are limited options and they do tend to run out of things over the evening.nnThe pub itself is cosy inside and has additional seating outside on a quiet corner in a residential area.
Very nice lunch on a beautiful sunny day in North London. Plentiful outdoor seating in the sun. Good selection of food offerings at reasonable prices, all very tasty
Nice atmosphere and set up. Feels like a ‘real’ pub with plenty of outdoor seating on the street. There seems to be a standard 2 largers Victoria and Menabrea, 2 ales Foundation and something else, and a couple ciders/Radlers on tap. There is also a selection of bottles and wines and a few cocktails on the board.nnThere is a relatively compact menu that changes from time to time, however everything we have had over our 5 or so visits has been excellent. I can highly recommend the roast pork, fennel and salsa verde sandwich. 2 huge pieces of extremely tender pork that easily rival Pig and Butcher.nnStaff have always been friendly and easy to talk to.nnIt’s approximately £6.50 for a larger, which is steep but still cheaper than similar pubs in the area Plimsoll is around £7.50 for the same pint!.nnI would highly recommend a visit, especially in the summer for the outdoor seating :
On the plus side this pub has a nice atmosphere, nice decor and the bar staff seem completely fine. On the downside the roast dinner I had was really grim. Hard potatoes, minted peas that tasted weird with the pork, the pork wasn’t very nice either, bad gravy. The chocolate pot pudding was nice and the coffee was nice. So, overall, a mixed bag. I wouldn’t go there for roast again. Shame.
Lovely pub with a warm atmosphere and friendly service. I had the roast trout, which was perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavour. Great food, relaxed setting, and a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Would happily return.
