The sticky chicken wings and chips were perfectly crunchy with a soft center, the mayo had some secret condiment magic going on that took everything to the next level.nnFor desert I had the vanilla and salted caramel ice cream.nGreat service as well definitely a 10/10 for menWould I come back? Try and stop me!
Huge pub with long tables, which is ideal for crowded groups. We came for sunday roast and loved the atmosphere. Roast was fulfilling, atmosphere was very cosy and spacious with high ceiling. I would also recommend the sticky pudding. Only downside is you have to pay when you order and you have to pay at the bar. Not very practical if you go with a crowded group.
Overall, reasonably nice pub. It’s a fairly classic Young’s pub, with nothing to remarkably good or bad service. It has a lovely and large outside area, making this the perfect place for a pint or drink during sunny and warm days. However, it feels a bit crowded and commercial place, not that that would make it a poor option, but it’s not quite the type of place I would prefer
We had a great afternoon following our legal wedding. The staff were so accommodating during the booking process as our plans changed. We had a great area by the entrance to the garden which was just perfect for our guests. The canapés were delicious and great table service from the team on the day. Also dog friendly which was perfect for our pooch! Would highly recommend. Thank you!
A few months ago I stopped here to pop in for a drink and thought it was nice, was back in the area the other day so I booked a table to have some dinner there as a family of four. Service was ok atmosphere was good . Toilets need updating and cleaning properly, the food was barely warm , I had the roast beef along with my partner who had the same. Mine was too rear for my liking and tough to cut with a lot of fat on it . The day after my stomach has been in bits ! Was looking to book our wedding here, now thinking against it. Great building and neighbourhood. Food and hygiene needs massive attention .
