Lovely time at Canonbury Tavern as my partner and I decided to pop by and try their food a month before our wedding here. We hadn't tasted their menu before we booked the venue for our reception, and we ended up pleasantly surprised at the food quality. Shelley, Jaz and Tara were very warm and helpful, their service made the experience all the more memorable. Pumped to come back here in a month's time for our reception!
Georgie was SPECTACULAR. They were kind when we had questions about the menu, quick to help when we accidentally spilled a drink, and even offered us recommendations when we mentioned being from out of the country. Food was delicious too. Thank you Georgie!
Huge lounge bar with tables that can be configured for large groups. Great service, good food.nOur group of 10 was made very welcome and the staff regularly checked if we needed to order more drinks. The food was served very quickly after ordering.nI particularly liked the roof windows which let in lots of daylight to the well designed lounge.nWe'll be back!
Superb staff, great food and very buzzy atmosphere. Been having birthday parties here for several years and the team are always lovely and helpful.nI order party platters in advance at least one week beforehand is deadline busy bar so you might queue for a few minutesnFood this year was excellent!nMy guests were all very happy.
Thirty of us have just enjoyed a sumptuous ‘reunion’ lunch in the spacious upstairs dining room, following drinks in the well-stocked downstairs bar. The service in both areas was exceptional, the food was really very good and the staff could not have been more courteous or helpful. The whole event was managed professionally and efficiently by Shelley and Emma, from our first enquiry to our eventual departure - following a further ‘heavy drinking’ in the garden. We cannot praise the Canonbury highly enough and look forward to repeating the event next year!
