our maternity group visited The Bull Pub on Monday, and we had such a lovely time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and chat. The staff were fantastic, and a special thank you to Alina, who took such great care of us. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.nnIt was a wonderful experience, and we truly appreciated the excellent service. See you next session!
d an incredible Sunday roast at The Bull Pub! The food was absolutely spot on—the roast beef was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were crispy and golden, and the Yorkshire pudding was light and fluffy. The rich, flavorful gravy brought everything together beautifully.nnA special shoutout to our server, Alina, who was fantastic! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her warm and welcoming attitude really added to the experience.nnHighly recommend The Bull for a top-notch Sunday roast—I’ll definitely be back!
We went for Sunday lunch and the pub was quite cold when we arrived at 1.00p.m.nWe were disappointed that despite advertising it on their website menu and on their typed menus we were told when we went to order that they weren't doing the 2 and 3 course special offers.nOrdering is done at the bar and yet 10% service charge was put on the bill.nThe roast dinner was a good portion and good, although the pork belly was very fatty.
This used to be our local go to for fish and chips and a good pint. However, since the menu has changed, it has become disappointing. Whilst the chips are better, everything else is worse. The tartar sauce now has onions which will linger on your breath for hours. The fish itself, as well as the batter, has decreased in both quality and taste. We will now only return for pints. Food is a write off. Great place to get Aspalls on tap otherwise.
The staff and food was lovely. We had haddock and chips. Staff was helpful and friendly. However, the noise level is just too loud. It's a struggle to hear each other. People have to converse loudly to hear each other.nnWheelchair access is via a manual ramp. This means you call the pub, then a staff member comes out and puts the ramp out for you. The ramp-up 3 steps is quite steep so you need someone behind you to ensure your wheelchair doesn't flip. This is not a comfortable experience entering or leaving the pub. The ranp is too steep for wheelchair users. So i wouldnt say tgis is an accessible pub. I would class an accessible vdnue where i can enter and leave without additional support.nFinally, I think the noise and the difficult access means I won't return but they are going to get a ramp in April so look out for that.
