Much better experience here than other london hostels. Has a pretty rowdy pub downstairs, and beds are comfortable. Kitchen facilities are good, and place is cleaned daily. Good discounts on drinks for hostel residents, and excellent tube connection on the Victoria line. Supermarkets near by.. happy as. Book a week and get a good rate.. cheers. I'll be back!
Flight to London got delayed but we couldn’t check in cuz the receptionist had to leave early. Had to sleep at the airport when we could’ve made it in time. The rooms are OK, good for the price, but it being cash only sucks. If you are coming from outside the Uk I wouldn’t stay here since you have to exchange money, and you’d loose a lot on the exchange rate at the airport. There’s a £20 cash down deposit, that you get back at the end of your stay. It’s meaningless if you’re in the UK for a weekend. Not a bad place to stay if you have lots of cash, it’s cheap, but I’d spend a little more for a place that doesn’t have these weird policies. Also, WIFI just doesn’t work.
Arrived, and instantly felt unwanted by Lady Glitter Sparkles in reception, an incredibly unfriendly woman. Was rudely awoken both night’s by unexpected visitors with a key to our private room. Common spaces bathrooms, kitchen were unkempt and unhygienic, and got the feeling some patrons were living here on a permanent basis. If you are looking for the classic hostel experience, this is not the place as you find yourself wanting to leave asap. Surrounding neighbourhood felt very unsafe, but provided great entertainment. On the plus side, it is a lot cheaper than the rest of the London hostels, but it means you have to stay in Tottenham.
Honestly hard to describe as it's not really expensive for London 40$ per night, but the place is a mess, dirty and I was feeling unsettled allaround. Cash-only and a deposit of 20 quid for the keycard. There's a kitchen, but nothing is clean and you'd have to clean the dishes of the previous persons.
I paid 10 pounds a night and can't really recommend it for any more than that waaaay better options for just a tad more. Only stay here if you are on a tight budget. Rooms have a super small window and smell pretty strongly of body odor in addition to being very hot. Cleanliness is at the minimum, comparable to the average budget south American hostel. Mold in the showers and crusty kitchen. Only positive is that the beds are comfortable and the location isn't horrible apart from the poor neighborhood its in, 40 min from Victoria station with the tube. Also lockers are tiny 20x20x20cm, definitely not fitting your backpack in there.
