Went to a brilliant Street party organised by The Duke. Great bands, the pub coped with the large crowd really well, setting up stands outside selling food and drink. The atmosphere was superb and it was a lot of fun.

Whether you’re after a Sunday roast, a pint with friends, or a romantic dinner, The Duke delivers flavour, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.nnWhy it’s one of the tastiest:nnPerfectly cooked roast beef and cod — tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully platednSticky toffee pudding — rich, gooey, and consistently praised by guestsnCraft beer, ale, and wine selection — curated to complement the foodnSeasonal British menu — fresh ingredients and thoughtful executionnIndoor and outdoor seating — ideal for cosy evenings or sunny afternoonsnnAtmosphere & service:nnElegant Victorian interiors — high ceilings, vintage mirrors, and soft lightingnFriendly, patient staff — known for their attentive and welcoming servicenFamily- and dog-friendly — adds to the relaxed, inclusive vibe
It's a lovely pub, hidden in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff couldn't be nicer. Alas, in my opinion the sunday roast is quite expensive for such a small portion.
Really enjoyed the Christmas special menu at Dukes. Fantastic food, great flavour combinations and a lovely team who did a brilliant job even though an incredibly busy pre-Christmas Friday night. Well done to the kitchen team especially for such amazing food, thank you.
Can't wait to go back.nnSat by the kitchen, I was tempted by almost every meal that was walked past me.nnWe had:nn• scotch eggs startern• prawn salad startern• fish finger sandwichn• beef burgern• mutton nuggets startern• mac n cheese sidennCocktails were also perfect on this warm sunny day where we got to sit in the garden after our meal.nnHighly recommend.
