This restaurant was a great find. Amazing food cooked freshly with quality ingredients. Will definitely go again and would recommend to others.
My review of 5yrs ago seems to have been removed, I tried a minus review but it wouldn't let me so I had to give it a 1, but it wasn't, it's the worst restaurant I have ever been in world wide, I have had great food off the streets in the Philippines, Middle East, Mediterranean, try looking at the curry houses in Leicester, way superior to anything they can make here.
This such a lovely place. Have been here many times.Superb food and service.. Looking forward to returning in a couple of months. Thanks.AndyFood: 5/5

Fantastic meal at a lovely old mill deep in the cornish countryside, by far the best Indian meal ive had in a long time
Fantastic every time this was our third visit Very authentic curry. Must book in advance. Had the Nepalese lamb & wild garlic, a flavour sensation, the lamb is super tender.Food: 5/5
The Journeyman Restaurant - Mellingey Mill - St Issey - North Cornwall 16/02/17. The car park is on rough ground and badly lit, and there is some distance to walk to the restaurant which includes a couple of steps, so not too good for those with any form of mobility issues. There is adequate parking for the small number catered for at any one time. The restaurant was lit with candles providing an atmospheric ambience. However the heating was barely adequate to cope with drafts on a February evening. I ordered a red Thai chicken curry with special Thai rice which contained ginger, coconut and coriander. The chicken was marinated in an authentic spicy red curry and coconut sauce, with added kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, fresh basil and lemongrass, altogether a fabulous taste sensation. My wife being a fish eater, though somewhat allergic to prawns, substituted salmon in a very satisfying Thai green curry with homemade green curry paste,Thai ginger,Kaffir lime leaves and fish sauce, finished with fresh basil and coconut milk, together producing an exquisite blend of flavours. We chose to drink the Cobra beer, our preference with spicy food, finishing off with coffee. There is a very good wine and spirit list and ample choice of starters and desserts for those that want them. There is no doubt that the attention to detail regarding the standard of food served at the Journeyman, is second to none. We both enjoyed a very pleasant evening in convivial surroundings.
Magnificent. I made the mistake of eating a full meal a couple of hours before going. But the food at the Journeyman is so wonderful I happily had three courses. Been twice. Would love to go again.Food: 5/5
Absolutely phenomenal food - possibly the best curry I've ever had. Worth ordering with several sides, the naan bread was a particular highlight. If you want a laid back evening with delicious food, this is the place to go! Parking: Parking is just to the left, over a small bridge and tucked away.
Delicious meal, great service and a lovely place. Book ahead to avoid disappointment as they don’t have many seats. Well worth the visit. Large car park at back
