Superb hotel with good views and friendly staff. Nice surprise they provide free gin samples.. not so good to charge 3£ for a tonic but... Included breakfast is 'continental' which is not obvious and parking is a disgraceful £10.
This is the second time we've stayed in this hotel. First time we had a room overlooking the estuary, which can be quite noisy in the morning but isn't really a problem.nThis time, we had a room looking inward which was my choice, but the room was a bit tired. The carpet was stained and the chair really needed changing. The shower cubicle was showing wear and tear. The bed on the other hand was very big and comfortable. The view was of the fire escape stairs from a small window. This was room 19.nThe location is perfect for Padstow and the continental breakfast was very nice as we're all the staff.nOn our first visit, you had a fee gin and tonic, but on the second visit, the gin was still free, but the tonics you had to pay for. It was a lovely perk, so I don't understand why, for the sake of a couple of bottles of tonic that probably cost the hotel £2 this has been taken away, especially as you are paying £200 for the room each night.
Great location, good views, fair pricing…… unfortunately dropped a star by staff that don’t seem to be buying into the company ethos … not all of the staff, a couple where great …. But more than half of the staff we in countered on our short stay in July weren’t as friendly or helpful as you’d expect from a hotel of this quality …. Shame as we stay at their Salcombe hotel and more recently the Fowey hotel and the staff there have been happy, motivated and ready to assist you. Maybe it was us…. You try it out for yourself, for location and ease it ticks a box
The team at Harbour Hotel Padstow are amazing so kind and friendly. Especially Caroline.B on reception she made our engagement weekend amazing. This was a surprise for now my fiancé. Caroline was quick to respond to my emails and was able to arrange flowers, chocolates and a card for the room. Thank you for making our time away memorable and stress free. We will be back again soon.
We stayed here for two nights over Easter. The hotel is well looked after and the design is really nice. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The location is fantastic. The only thing that I found a bit annoying is that they charge their hotel guests extra £10/night for parking.
