I stated recently in room 15 and it was lovely. A very comfortable bed, a great shower and an amazing hairdryer. They had a lovely selection of tea and coffee in my room, menu’s for downstairs instructions on how to use the coffee machine. I was too early for breakfast, but the staff had no problem letting me wait. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay and I will definitely come back. Thank you to all the staff.
Stopped here for food. As soon as we walked in was met by a friendly warm welcome from staff.nFood was delicious, sardines were presented well, very tasty and I had macaroni bites, again tasty.nFish and chips presented really nicely and the portion was big, with a portion of curry sauce, tartar sauce and beans in nice ramekins. Fish was amazing, very fresh and homemade chips best we have had. Homemade deliciousnchicken and ham pie was full of meat. Was full but having seen desserts couldn't resist, homemade sticky toffee was absolutely yummy with cornish ice cream.nLaura who served us was so bubbly, helpful and an asset to this place.nAll the staff were very helpful. What a find, definitely recommend visiting this place for food or just a drink. The manager should be proud of the great staff who welcome visitors with smiles and great service.
We ate here twice, once for lunch and the other for dinner. We had the sharing seafood platter. It was plenty big enough for two people and was very tasty. Service is good at this venue and there is a great selection of beverages to choose from. We particularly liked sitting in the conservatory with our drinks and watching the world go by.
We went for Sunday lunch, my wife had the roast I had fish and chips. Food really good and nice service. Fantastic curry sauce. We will be back , dog friendly.
A really excellent location adjacent to the Harbour. Our room also overlooked the harbour and was superb, with many extra elements provided to enhance the experience and stay. Yes, not cheap - but truly worth the cost. On-site restaurant offering a range of interesting meals, sensibly priced. Good beers, from St Austell brewery which owns the establishment. The staff were very helpful. Initially, I thought parking might be an issue but a space in an adjacent car park was gained on arrival - with payment on exit several days later £10 for each 24 hours.
