I greatly enjoyed my stay at Padstow Harbour Hotel. My room Estuary View Double overlooked both the village and the estuary. It was spacious and very clean, and its nautical theme created a warm atmosphere. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast could be served in-room which was lovely. Dinner experience at the restaurant was also very good. Everyone was kind and helpful. Shops and cafés are just a two-minute walk from the hotel. Overall, a perfect stay.
Excellent hotel, booked last minute and will be returning. Hotel and room was beautiful, great breakfast with the restaurant overlooking the estuary. Friendly staff and the gin and sherry in the room was a lovely touch along with the little sticker pack and stick of rock for our daughter. Complimentary parking on site. About 5 min walk to village. Hotel has a beautiful lawn you can take a drink down and relax. Along with bikes, buckets and wellies.
Second time visiting the Harbour Hotel in Padstow and second time we've been really impressed. Rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. Service from all staff is first rate and very professional. We had a meal in the restaurant on Saturday evening - they were hugely busy and the food quality was absolutely superb; genuinely the best meal I've had all year. Right in the middle of Padstow, so everything within easy reach. All this and they even have dog-friendly rooms too. We'll be back again next year!
First the positives: Hotel is lovely and our bedroom was great pick a deluxe as you get more room, reception staff were so helpful and friendly especially Jess who stood out with a smile every time and great service. The only bad thing about all the rooms is the hotel gets VERY hot in summer and I mean BOILING! No ceiling fans which would be the best solution, instead you get given a cheap fan which does nothing but make a lot of noise. Something the hotel need to consider ASAP if they want guests to return. Negatives: the service in the breakfast room was extremely busy and we didn’t much like the buffet style where you had to make your own toast, from this kind of hotel I would expect table service. Too many people stood in one place scrambling for cereal etc. They did take our main breakfast order but the last time we have visited it was full table service, I feel this lets them down a bit. Bacon was tough but the rest was good. We also eat in the main restaurant in the evening and the wait for food was ridiculous- 55 minutes! Lots of people complaining and waiting for food. Wouldn’t bother to eat there again. All in all not sure if the positives out way the negatives.
Nice hotel with nice rooms. Our room was right above the unloading bay so got woken up pretty early with the delivery van beeping endlessly when reversing outside our window. Breakfast was a bit mixed - the continental selection and fruit pots were excellent; cooked breakfast a bit small and both scrambled and poached eggs overcooked the latter we had to send back. Also the sun blazing into the eyes of everyone in the dining area was an odd choice - blinds half-way down could have solved the issue. Staff were, however, uniformly excellent. Location couldn't be better.
Simply stunning. A real treat. Everything here is great. Perfect time to come is out of season when the harbour is quiet. Location is perfect. Hotel is wonderful. Food and service is perfect. Treat yourself. It's not cheap but absolutely worth it. If you want quality, fantastic experience and great memories - look no furtherRooms: 5/5
Went to the hotel for an annual reunion. Stayed for three nights visiting the village and surrounding area during the day and dining with our friends on the last two evenings. Hotel accommodation fantastic. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Well recommended. Rooms: Well fitted out. Including gin and sherry on arrival. Nearby activities: Padstowe is only a short walkable distance from the hotel. There is a ferry across the estuary so good walks in the area. Not far from National Trust premises the local showground and other local coves
People very polite and helpful. I found the menu to be only catered for fish lovers not much choice for those who don’t eat fish like me .The room was nice in its self but rather a lot of money to pay for a view of a building site and car park .I’m only 5’2 so found it very difficult to get into bed unless I took a run and jump which wouldn’t be a pretty sight over all lovely time spent. Thankyou .
Horribly over priced for the standard of the rooms. Sure they are decorated nicely, but when you have to choose either opening your suitcase or being able to walk around, it's not great. The bathroom was also plumbed in inversely, cold was hot, hot was cold or just uncontrollable. Unfortunately we were leaving before breakfast was served, but the one staff member setting it up was great. She let us in early and did all she could for us with what was available. The biggest let down was the staff member at reception. She was obviously not very proficient with the hotel's systems. In brief, she was incapable of providing a genuine invoice with appropriate details on it. And was simply rude and laughed when asked to make changes.
We've been meaning to stay here for some time and it not only met but exceeded our expectations. Amazing position, beautifully refurbed rooms, lovely staff, excellent food and as we got a deal booking direct with the hotel, good value too.Rooms: 5/5
