Really liked this place. The game pie was exceptional. Hot, rich and flavoursome. Hand cooked chips to go with it. I will return. Service staff were also excellent. The guy with the red shoes on made me laugh. He wasn't funny and I didn't talk to him, I just laughed at his ridiculous red shoes. Well done that man, it cheered me up after a dreary day on castle cement.

As good as usual. We have been staying here annually, for years. Everyone is friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is delicious, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Love the Higher buck. Excellent food served by friendly helpful staff in a relaxed comtemporary place

Lovely gastro pub... great decor but personally felt food was slightly over priced, even for a 'gastro pub'
