We used to love this venue. It's in a great location with some stunning views. However, on the last 2 occasions it seems the standards have slipped. The food has become very inconsistent and the quality has gone downhill. Today's gnocchi, although great looking, was just stodge. .. the crispy beef salad not much better as it was overly wet and the salad seems to be more English than Asian nowadays, the beef quality is also less than impressive. Hopefully things will improve but I won't be rushing back for a while. Lots of other venues on the are offer a superior product.

Lunch today with family and 3 dogs at Aspinall Arms. Met by friendly staff who were attentive but not intrusive throughout our meal. Good menu with plenty of choice. Food delicious and nicely presented. Dogs made welcome with bowls of water and dog biscuits. This is the third time we've been in 6 weeks and each time has been a lovely experience. Certainly recommend the Aspinall to anyone lucky enough to be in the area.

Nice pub, great beer, sourced mainly locally with beer miles on display. Food was good but quite expensive- only 2 slices of pork on the roast pork for £14. Liked the pub though and I'd go back. Beautiful setting by the river and extensive beer garden.

It has one of the best beer gardens you will find. It's Huge, clean, well maintained with plenty of good seating right on the banks of the river Ribble. Its Great for all ages. There's a good choice of food both indoors and a purpose built outdoor bar and barbecue. The service and staff are 5 star.

Excellent first visit here with two friends. Lovely ambience with good food and service. I ll definitely go back​.
