Exceptional Hospitality at The Barley MownJake and I had the pleasure of staying at the Barley Mow last night after a visit to Bobhead's Motorcycle Shop, who highly recommended it to us.nFrom the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and genuine. Nick, the owner, went above and beyond, kindly treating us to a meal on the house, and I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious. The food, atmosphere, and service were all first class.nThe rooms were comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed after a long day. In fact, we both slept so well that we completely missed the check-out time the following morning!nRather than making us feel rushed, every member of staff, including the cleaning team, couldn't have been kinder or more understanding. Their friendliness and professionalism really stood out and made our stay even more memorable.nOverall, the Barley Mow is a fantastic pub and inn with excellent food, comfortable accommodation, and genuinely outstanding customer service. Thank you to Nick and the whole team for looking after us so well.nWe wouldn't hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.nMatt & Jake McGinn
Fantastic pub at the edge of the Pendle Sculpture Trail. We were a group of 4 and managed to get a table somewhat easily on a weekend. The decor is beautiful, staff rather young but well trained and professional, and the food was excellent including Sunday roast! They're dog friendly too. Would highly recommend and definitely return!
Cannot recommend this place enough. Was walking in the area with our dog and stopped for breakfast. Beautiful inside and sat in front of the fire. Food was excellent and very good value for money. Staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough. Will definitely be returning here in the near future without hesitation. Although we didn't stay overnight here we will be booking an overnight stay to come back when in the area again.
Cannot recommend this pub food highly enough! After a big walk up Pendle Hill we had the 3 course roast and everything was top tier. Amazing Yorkshire puds, perfectly cooked veg no soggy veg around here and gorgeous meat. Great value for money too - it is so hard to find a good roast dinner out! Staff were lovely.
We only stopped in for drinks and chips. The chips were actually quite good — nicely cooked and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the drinks were disappointing. The Coke in particular tasted almost like plain fizzy water, with very little flavour.nnThe main issue, however, was the number of flies. There seemed to be a serious problem, with flies swarming around the area. It made it hard to relax, as they were landing on the table and even getting into our drinks. This really took away from the experience and made the place feel unhygienic.
