Having visited here years ago and being impressed, I have been patiently waiting to return. We visited during restaurant week and the place seemed quite full. We both opted for 3 courses at £25. We arrived at 6 ordering food and drinks not long after. Starters did arrive promptly and were lovely. Mains took a while longer, with people receiving food that was ordered after us. I looked around and the bar man peered back looking at our table. He came over and asked if we were still waiting for our mains. After a few minutes he appeared with them, hot and fresh, now 7.15. overall the food was great and I'd go back, service was good apart from the wait.
We went for lunch and weren't disappointed The food was fab we'll definitely be back. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. It was quiet when we went but we loved the quirky decor.
Friendly staff and good food. Have the tempura prawns to share and the steak and chicken shawarma. All tasty and well cooked. A little hidden away but well worth a visit.Food: 5/5
Fabulous couple of meals here with friends and pup in tow. Really well looked after, great food and the dog got a lot of love Food is a mix of nicely executed Asian influence dishes and traditional British favourites. The tempura prawns are huge, juicy and crispy, with a very moreish noodle salad. The burger a decent size with goodb"normal"fries and the Sunday roasts really really generous portions with loads of gravy. Loved this place and the staff!
Really, cool pub which we visited for a meal. Staff were so welcoming and helpful and this place is super dog friendly which was a bonus. The food choice was Asian fusion and generally the quality of the food was good, however it was quite spicy and therefore not to our taste. Would have been great to see descriptions of spice levels on the menu and a few more vegetarian options. Can imagine is a great place for a drink.
I went to The Earl for Restaurant Week lunch last week with my parents. Interesting menu with a varied selection, delicious food, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere! I hadn't eaten here for over two years, I will definitely be gack again soon!Food: 5/5
Amazing Sunday lunch! Beef melts apart. Staff extremely friendly. A lovely quirky pub in city centreFood: 5/5
Went for date night on restaurant week. Great looking venue inside. The staff are top notch, great service. Had a couple of lovely pints and wine. Unfortunately the burger ordered was not up to scratch. The fries could have been a lot more crispy and the burger was overcooked and dry. The sea bass ordered was gorgeous with the saffron mash.
We popped in for a celebratory dinner and the staff were absolute superstars. Really enjoyed it, great food and lovely staff. Highly recommend. Vegan brownies are ace. Cheers ladies :Food: 5/5
Lunch was excellent and well priced. Staff very friendly. It was a little quiet but we were there early afternoon during the student break. Would return to the area specifically to visit the Earl of Pitt Street. Would recommend and will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
