Atmospheric piece of Newcastle History. Victorian Wood panelling, stained glass windows, great selection of local ales and well known beers. Staff are great, Our favourite pub in Newcastle
A unique place to enjoy an excellent beer. Time warp interior, well preserved. Lovely snug bar and wonderful wooden panelling. Friendly bar staff and ever-changing run of real ales. The pub 'jukebox' is a mid 1950s Dynatron record player perched at the end of the bar and in continual use.
There's nowhere like this I've found. It's basically a corridor with a bar in it. Can't beat it for mulling over life with a very good beer, listening to the gramophone and gentle chatter. Fabulously relaxing.
A unique pub, with its own atmosphere. Good for ale drinkers, as they have a very good selection on offer. Downside is doesn't take many to make it a little crowded.
