We are visiting from the US and thought it was the perfect day to visit Kew Gardens while here in the UK. After a long day of walking we were starving and walked just a short couple of blocks to the Botanist on Kew Green. We are SO glad that we chose this restaurant to eat at because it was seriously our favorite meal while visiting. Everything tasted absolutely fresh and was beyond delicious. I got the calamari and falafel to snack on as my meal, the calamari was incredible and the falafel was so flavorful. Everyone was beyond kind and welcoming and both my boyfriend and I were really impressed with the quality, portion, and taste! It was also extremely trendy and classy and completely tied into our time in the gardens. Couldn’t have been a better end to our day. We will definitely be coming back here and spreading the word!
Such a wonderful atmosphere and felt like home! Amazing bartender and manager that made me feel incredibly welcomed for this visiting American. It was definitely one of my favorite pubs I visited.
Nice relaxed pub, good decor, and food was delicious - right next to Kew Green, and close to Kew Gardens. We though visited between Christmas & NY, and they unfortunately were seriously understaffed on that day, with a poor guy on his first day running the bar and front of house - did require a bit of patience & compassion - kinda all in the festive holiday spirit!

The newly refurbished pub is very nice in terms of deco and plenty of space but unfortunately very disappointed food and service. Literally 3 people for this huge pub no chance for them to service they really tried but the food was really not good. Definitely made ahead and microwaved heated you could see it on the mash. The pan fried fish was not fresh and dipped in just melted butter with very little flavor and the burger totally dry. The most decent was dish and chips so if you have to go there it's ok. Honestly hope they will invest money into the food and ingredients as the area is so nice.
Popped in for a Sunday roast after a walk; it was lovely. We were greeted by a very welcoming member of staff on arrival and the roast was full of flavour. The service was efficient and the staff were extremely polite. Given it’s a busy pub, we were very happy with the experience.
We had a lovely evening here. The food and wine was good.
Came with a couple mates to celebrate the birth of my first child, loved the atmosphere and the staff gave us fantastic service. Great food but took a while as it was busy we’ll let them off!. Special thanks to Jack and Anna for the fries on the house! Will definitely be returning!!!
Great place for lunch and a beer! Recommend the specials and ask the staff for a matching wine!
Amazing place! I went to The Botanist last week and enjoyed everything, from the amazing atmosphere to the exquisite food. I tried the halloumi fries that were to die for. I shared the scallops and chorizo with a friend, but it was so good I wish I had had it for myself! For main I ordered the Pan roasted Cod - which was .... chef's kiss! Really good place to have a drink and amazing food! Recommend it 100%
