Great local pub with lovely garden would be really nice in the summer!. We all enjoyed our food and they are tasty. I recommend lamb ribs, they did a good job. Pork roast is massive and love the roasted potatoes that come with it. It also has proper Yorkshire pudding with a good mix of vegs Ordered chips as a side, it’s nice but a bit expensive £4.5 for the size of it
Had a lovely Sunday lunch with some neighbours at The Marlborough. Its a large pub with various areas including dining rooms and cosy snugs. The garden is large and looks a great place to hang out in the summer. I tried the vegan roast which was great. Others had fish and chips and the beef. The starters were okay. I suggest going for the mains and a pud. I recommend you book a table because it got busy. It's close to Richmond Park so you can walk off the dinner after!!
What an incredible pub and restaurant. Would recommend this place time and time again. I came with my family for a Christmas meal, and everything from the incredible front of house service, to the friendly staff, to the wonderful Chef Smiley and his amazing kitchen team - was simply magical. The food was out of this world, make sure you try the small plates the Scotch Egg may be the best I’ve ever had, and compliments to the Chef for the highest quality ingredients, brilliant display and tasty meals. The staff as well are so hospitable and friendly. Thanks to all of you for making it a wonderful experience, I’ll certainly be back!
Wonderful pub in Richmond! We had a late booking so we could come after a long 14km walk, and were not disappointed with the Sunday roasts. We both had the pork belly which was a huge serving with all the trimmings. Heaps of crackling on the pork if you like that. Potatoes were a tad dry but lots of gravy to soak everything up. Lovely lemon lime bitters as well as a non Alc option. Really friendly staff and the food came out SO quickly, maybe 4-5mins after ordering.
Excellent pub, from Sunday roast to drinks to customer service. We had a Sunday roast that was delicious, even the vegetarian one. We ordered a Bloody Mary and was really well done. The staff is responsive, nice and friendly. Raff can speak a little bit of many languages and Lawrence is the man you want when you are organising something. We are going to have our wedding party there with their amazing premises. Looking forward to live it. Definitely recommended.
I can’t give more than three stars… we were taken to the back of the pub where loudly dogs, irritating small kids and drunken blondes are kept. A totally eclipse of a pub environment, really difficult to keep a conversation in a reasonable level. Food took forever to show up, mushroom soup was thin and extremely fluid, lacking viscosity and density… I also ordered a mushroom pie, not bad but nothing to deserve some extra compliment… wife ordered a bass fish option, billions of bones made difficult to handle not a mistake that I can credit the pub, of course… Guiness was ok, that is something. Definitely, a place I won’t return.
Have enjoyed both lunch and drinks here. 100% recommend the Cumberland sausages or roast on Sunday. Good selection of drinks at the bar too with plenty of seating indoors and out.
Today I went for lunch and had the pleasure of tasting the new menu. I had a delicious burrata salad with powerful flavor and a grilled sea bass cooked just right and accompanied by some vegetables. Everything was delicious. the place has a very large and cozy garden and the staff was lovely. I definitely be back
We've had Sunday lunch here before about a year ago and was brilliant. However not so impressed this time 2 roasts and one vegi roast and fish and chips. Staff pleasant however meal served and was only warm not hot! The potatoes were roasted but warm and soft. No one came to see if all was good. Felt very second rate. At £21 a roast I did expect better! Shame really. No doggy roasts no Sparkling water. Sorry but you are as good as your last meal. But shan't be returning
The overall experience was lovely, that was the company and the adjacent table. They were fun and loving the music. The menu was sub standard. Not jumped out. No more roast left, at all!! By 7:15pm...Sunday lunch crowd, but then have a standby menu for Sunday evening diners. It was either burger of fish. Fish arrived on a tiny plate, overflowing and off putting. Mushy peas were ice cold and honestly both plates were suitable for 6'8" men, not a woman's appetite. Not a garnish in sight. I expected more and was disappointed. The outside area looks amazing for summer.
