Went to Muriel's kitchen for a brunch with my siblings and tried their organic eggs on avocado and toast, tasted so good but the cappuccino was very light and was mainly the taste of milk, we sat on the bench which was not that comfortable however loved the idea of the bag hooks under the bench. Overall ambiance was interesting
Really good breakfast. Friendly staff and cute place in general. Afternoon tea is a bit more relaxed and way more reasonable priced than in other places and as least as good. Highly recommended!
very very nice place!! lovely staff and fantastic veg/fruit drinks! I had a cucumber, pear, mint and apple drink it was gorgeous!! also had a lovely filled croissant with sun dried toms, mozzarella and rocket in!!! fully recommend this spot. was ideal before going to the history museum after they are close to each other £ wise drink £4 croissant £4.90 but worth every penny!
A really nice friendly and family restaurant. They do traditional hearth meals which are flavoursome and filling. The staff are friendly and the service is pretty quick. The scotch eggs here are delicious for starter and they have an excellent selection of desserts.
Oh my goodness, YUM! Muriel's Kitchen is such a cute place. You can choose to eat in or take away and either way the food looks delicious. I personally prefer to eat in; you get great service and the atmosphere is really nice: friendly and professional. Though the food is upmarket, the place has a really homely feel to it - perfect for a lunch date. The portion sizes do look small, but they are very filling, especially as the food tends to be quite rich. I recommend the pulled pork sliders.
The staff, especially the managers are a bit rude, telling you that's your fault if you're not seated yet, whatever you're on time or few minutes late. When they are full, they kind of panic. You can't really enjoy your meal longer, you kind of feel the pressure that you gonna leave sue to the demand for seat. However, the food is delicious, I was there for a brunch. The smoothie are really expensive I must say. Cool tiny place, but must go when less busy.
Me and my mum had spent the afternoon in London and were looking for a somewhere to eat dinner before catching a film at the odeon in Leicester square. We were nearly tempted by dinner in China Town although some of the buffets can be rather disappointing and we didn't have much time to spare. We chose Muriel's because we hadn't seen it before and the colours and small Barrow of fresh vegetables outside were inviting. We were seated right away and really loved the decor, it had such a homely enchanting feel with "ivy" growing up the table legs, little trees, birdcage lampshades and giant cutlery on the walls. Our drink orders were taken and brought to us quickly. When we ordered or mains we explained that we had something booked and didn't have much time. Our food arrived within 10-15 minutes and my pizza was freshly cooked and filled me up well. I loved the drinks menu as it offered drinks like Arizona iced tea which isn't ordinarily available in England. The waiters were friendly and speedy. The puddings and cake looked splendid and we definitely plan on going back with the whole family next time were in London. A thoroughly enjoyed meal, would recommend.
We had a great meal here with lovely servers, delicious food, and a wonderful cozy atmosphere. The menus were lovely and well organized, the food well presented, the chairs comfy, the bathrooms clean and modern, and overall very nice everything. Only thing to complain about is the fact that they do not accept Amex...bit disappointing but not a huge thing to worry about. If you're ever in Richmond we recommend coming here.
This place is a hidden gem of Richmond just a stones throw away from some of the most gorgeously picturesque views of the river. Breakfast seems to be the speciality but we popped in for a workday lunch with a client and were delighted by the quality of the food, friendliness of the staff and decor. Warning their Camembert starter is amazingly addictive and will leave you thinking about it for days later .
I wasn't too impressed by the made-to-heat-up food display but warmed up to the decor quickly. The menu is seasonal and their food is truly homecooked : I would recommend the salad platter so that you can try a few salads. I enjoyed their lasagne and the chicken curry was nicely spiced. The staff was friendly and let us have the cake we baked for a friend's birthday in the shop itself. They also sell nice cakes and I would have definitely tried their chocolate bread & butter pudding!!
