Wow! What an amazing pub. The staff and other customers were so very welcoming and fantastic with Barney the Labrador! We ate twice during our four day break in Stillington and were blown away by the food and service each time. The roast beef dinner on Sunday was fabulous with the beef cooked to a perfect rareness accompanied by incredible fluffy Yorkshire puddings and super tasty vegetables. We ate dinner again on Wednesday and our beef and ale pies were the best we have ever tasted. Perfect pastry and incredibly tasty and generous filling. Our daughter said her pasta was delicious. It looked it too. Such a shame we live a good four hours away. Highly recommend and hope to return at some point. Thank you for two lovely meals and for looking after us so well.
What a treat! Had a birthday Sunday lunch at The Bay Tree after a lovely walk around the daffodil trail in Farndale. The business had recently been taken over by our helpful and attentive host & the food was delicious 3 roasts, 1 fish dish & 4 sticky toffee puddings. I've already recommended the bay tree and we will definitely be back in the future. A good selection of drinks too
Came all the way from Australia in search of the perfect British roast and this place did not disappoint! Lovely British pub with friendly staff , dog friendly and amazing food and beer.
Wonderful experience at The Bay Tree visiting last night. Lovely decor and garden area with a wonderful warm welcome from Becky who looked after us fantastically all evening. The food was delicious, high end on style, presentation, taste and quality. My kids especially enjoyed saying Hi to the rabbits! We have already booked to return before we finish our holiday. If you are in the area, make sure you try out The Bay Tree!
Fantastic service accompanied by incredible food. I would recommend here for a date, family meal or just a quick spot of lunch. The refurbishment was a success and the new owners are just what this little gem needed. Even a cheeky pint is well worth the visit. I will be back soon and hope to see some of you there. Cheers!
Great meal for a family celebration. Whitebait for starter which was lovely and a cracking steak pie with pot of really tasty gravy. Will return!
We dined here on the last night of our holiday and we can not fault it. Lovely interior, very friendly and polite staff. We sat in the main area before choosing to change to the conservatory area and wow we are so pleased we did, the setting was lovely really done to a high standard. Our starters where great and very tasty, we had the bread and dips along with salt & pepper chicken wings. Myself and partner had the steak deal Wednesdays night is steak night £39.99 = 2 sirloin, fries, mushrooms, tomato and side garnish and a bottle of red wine we did give our wine to another table due to driving, my son opted for the rump steak. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and when next down we will definitely pop in again. Thank you.
What a delightful pub/restaurant. The beautifully decorated quirky interior is a pleasure to see. Spotless, with attentive staff, and a small but lovely menu. A gem of a find. Recommend booking in advance.
Love it here, One of the best beer gardens around and one which will work for summer and winter. Don't expect cheap but do enjoy the quality and atmosphere which is great, staff lovely and food is spot on. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.Food: 5/5
