The store has a great showroom, of bikes and kit and it's a great stop off to try on a range of equipment or clothing. Knowledgeable and attentive staff on the floor is also a great plus, happy to answer any questions you have on the kit. Can't say I recommend the mechanics quite as much, I was quoted £100+ for a simple job, which I eventually got completed at another shop for a quarter of the price. Once watched a mechanic attempt to convince my colleague his bike battery was flat, whilst the lights were on. The mechanic proceeded to shock himself with the spark plug. Interesting.

Always have fun looking around here and dreaming of what might one day be. Recently took my son on a boy's day out that involved a train journey, a look around the motorbikes and a fry-up - the look on his face when greeted by all the shiny bikes (and the fantastic breakfasts) was something to behold. I purchased a jacket from here a few weeks ago, that the online sales department very kindly got sent to store for me to try on. Great service on the phone and also from the assistant in the shop - he really helped talk me, as a novice, through the best fit and how the garment should sit and feel.. However, I also asked for some assistance with gloves and the chap said he'd be over once he'd wrapped the jacket up but got caught up with another customer for a long time and I eventually ended up speaking to someone else. From my days working in retail many moons ago, the golden rule was always deal with the customer in front of you, not the next in line. One small point about customer service that could do with driving home but otherwise very good. I'm sure I'll be back again soon.

As with many other reviews all seem to say the same thing the parts/service department is very poor. Their customer service is appalling, less than satisfactory to say the least. I ordered parts from Fowlers for them to take over a month to arrive, 5 weeks in total. They took so long to arrive I tried to cancel the order but was met with great difficulty from the parts department. When these items finally arrived over 5 weeks later I'd already purchased the items elsewhere as I needed the bike in use. I Contacted the very unhelpful parts department regarding returning the items when I was met with the "dig our heels in attitude". I explained that I had waited far too long for the items to arrive and during this period had tried to cancel the order. I proceeded from there to enquire about sending the no longer required items back to them as I'd now ordered complete units (also from them costing me more money than the individual parts I originally needed). After a lengthy discussion with no apologies that the original parts took excessive time to arrive or acceptance the delivery time was unacceptable they agreed to refund the cost of the parts. However (my main complaint) they would not refund the postage costs I had originally paid. I was willing to return the parts to them at my own cost which is neither here nor there as from the conversation they wouldn't have paid for the return postage either. Its now cost me nearly £15 in postage costs both ways for them to take over 5 weeks to get parts out to me. They have made no effort to keep a regular customer happy and retain my business. Judging by all the negative comments which seem to be mainly towards the parts/service department I would suggest ordering from your parts other suppliers as Fowlers customer service is appalling. If it helps your investigation 'Stuart Beauchemin' was the person I dealt with. He wouldn't agree to refund the postage after you had failed to provide me with the parts I ordered in adequate time. I then had to re-order complete units from you to get the bike back in use.

Took my daughter to get her kitted out, not enough selection for the female rider they didn't have boots to fit her and no trousers to suit her budget. Not everyone can afford £200 for a pair of trousers. She wanted to sit on mid range bikes nothing suitable in the main showroom unless you want a full on sports bike. The Honda showroom did have some options though.

After having completed my CBT I purchased a jacket from Fowlers online. Upon arriving the next day, I realised it was too tight, so I sent it back and purchased one a size bigger. Mark's service was absolutely impeccable. Knowing I had to collect my bike the next day, I received the jacket in excellent time and even took it upon himself to reimburse my postage cost of £12.98! I can honestly say I will use Fowlers before anywhere else when it comes to anything motorcycle related. You've certainly put a smile on my face so thank you!
