The food was lovely : I had a Chared chicken breast burger with chips and a beer. The food was nice, maybe a bit dry, but I loved the endless ketchup and mustard option . The service was really bad: I was waiting at the table for 20min, 2 waiters passed by and I even asked if I need to order at the counter. After reassuring me about the table service, I still needed to wait until I decided to just get up and order at the counter . After that I got my food in 5min with loving attitude. Despite bad service, I'd eat there again
Superb building. A real treat to be in and the food and beer were excellent.
Located along the Main Street area… good value meals and drinks available! Really beautiful historical building to look around and the pub also have garden seatings at the back. Nice and lovely staff during our visit
Excellent restoration of a large classic family home in Saffron Walden. Large ground floor with many separate areas to dine in. Usual Wetherspoon value and friendly efficient staff made for a good lunch.
Stayed in Saffron Walden for the Noel Gallagher gig at Audley end. We came here on Friday night and Saturday before the gig.. The pub is absolutely lovely!! Great venue and very welcoming. As it's a Wetherspoons there was a superb selection of alcohol on offer! The bar staff were all very friendly and didn't mind answering our questions about the area. Overall an excellent experience....
