Ask Saffron Walden still maintains itself as one of the best I've visited. Even some of the more dopey staff can be endearing. The long time staff are always friendly, the food is good, as is the wine list. Equally as good for romance, catching up with friends or a family party. Tables near coffee machine can be noisy, but view onto High Street a good choice.

Brilliant meal today on mothers day as always. Never had a bad meal here and the staff are so friendly and helpful.
