A good experience buying a TV online - smooth and quick, parted with my money quite swiftly! The price, with discount code, was unbeatable. On arrival at the store to collect Monday morning, quiet though, it took 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge me at the collection desk despite announcing my arrival via the virtual queuing facility online. I was going to leave a three star review for this, and the apparent lack of enthusiasm by the assistant who did arrive didn't bode well. But in fact he was really helpful and obliging, rescuing the rating to 4 stars.
I had researched what printer I wanted to buy before I went and I knew it was in stock ...luckily because the assistant wandered around with his hands in his pockets saying he couldn't find it .Finally did out the back and when I asked him if he knew anything about it he said 'like what?' After buying it I had to ask if he could take it to the car which he did with one hand in his pocket swinging my printer around with the other. More customer training required.
Saturday afternoon visit for a last min decision to purchase a new laptop, staff not very attentive. Initial interest soon waived and once my decision was made had to go to the checkout to ask someone to get me the chosen on as all technology people were nowhere to be seen! Eventually made the purchase and received good advice re protection via the Currys coverage.
Felt the need to leave a review for the Bolton Gate branch and in particular Lindsay who was incredibly helpful and kind with me and my sister a few days ago..Won't go into details but she was very patient with us. We had just come from Dunelm next door and been talking about the miserable girl on the till there and Lindsay was a breath of fresh air and the polar opposite. Lindsay is what customer service should be everywhere.
Amazing click and collect service on the night before Christmas eve too, store was busy but the girl at the till just asked my name and was back with a man with my scooters on a truck !! he quickly checked all the details at the till and brought them to my car and loaded them in my boot for me, brilliant service thanks so much !
Not enough staff for me, I was waiting ½ hour before anyone acknowledged me, he said he would be back in 2 minutes, 10 minutes later he came back. On asking for the ink cartridges I required he said...they are only online these days. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. Won't be going back there.
I’d rate them a zero if possible. I purchased my Kenwood microwave and at the time of sale I was also offered insurance which promised an instant replacement if anything went wrong. A 10 months late my microwave stopped working. I took it into store and they said they can’t give me a replacement because one kenwood changed the model number by two digits which meant despite the microwave being the same the model number wasn’t. The microwave had also increased £50 in price and they wanted me to pay that £50 despite paying for the instant replacement and care plan. I was told to speak with kenwood as I was still in the 1 year manufacturing warrant and they said CURRYS need to deal with it and sent me an email for CURRYS. I also spoke to CURRYS care plan service team and they said they need to replace it with a like for like. I went back into the store and had a look at other microwaves and decided to go for the same one and just pay the difference. It was out of stock and they don’t deliver and they asked me to collect from Leigh. I went to the till and decided to go for a refund as it wasn’t available as I was waiting for my gift card refund and the colleague decided to go on his break leaving us waiting for about 20 mins saying the other member of staff will deal with it once she’s done with her current customers. After getting tired of waiting I spoke to another employee to help and he was busy too. I had to leave as my work time was approaching with nothing being sorted. Don’t buy CURRYS CARE PLAN they have you off. Made two trips and nothing has been sorted
If you want poor customer service this is the place for you! Absolutely appalling I went to return a watch today after waiting in the queue for over 30 mins. Was told I can't return an online order instore. The person that dealt with me rang customer services, who was supposed to email me deatails of when they would collect my watch from my property. Went home suprise suprise no email! I had to call customer services myself. So have to make sure I'm at home all day to wait on collection tomorrow!
Disappointed with lack of contact availability, nationally as well as locally. For such massive organisation always seemed answer machine as opposed to vital one to one. In saying that massive range of electrical stuff at competitive prices.
Went here to get a chromebook they advertised online as in stock. It wasn’t in stock. So i said i would have an HP laptop clearly marked up on the shelf at £229. To be told its £269. Wrongly priced. Il het my laptop from Amazon. At least tjey have stock, and its priced right
